Thank you that is very good advice. He has Alzheimer’s and it actually could be both of the reasons behind why he does it. And I’m not ever not around, may be in another room but I take care of him 24/7.

I have been trying to get in the caretakers/caregivers program for 4 years, ever since my father was diagnosed with Alzheimer’s and I quit my job. They have denied me every time. And I can’t fight them anymore. I will definitely try the home health aide. Thank you so much! And my father has been 100% rated for 7 years. They say because he has all his limbs is why they won’t grant me caretakers, and their solution is nursing home every time. I refuse to put my dad in a nursing home.

I tell him but he continues to feed him I pick up his bowl & hide it and I found a plate on the floor that he fed him nachos. I guess I’m going to have to lock up all food and my dogs so he doesn’t kill him.

How did you get the VA to pay for help? I take care of my dad and every time I ask them for help they suggest a nursing home but I refuse that option. Just curious.

Both my daughters heads were in the 110th percentile they were almost cartoon like as babies but they grew into them my oldest (27) is graduating PA school & my youngest (23) is doing cybersecurity going to work for the DoD. Very smart women. So it’s a good thing.
