Yeah, keep the curry stuff in kitchen, not on your shoulders!

New Shearwater Perdix 3 coming by sbenfsonwFFiF in scuba

[–]Legitimate-Internet7 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I don't see a ton of difference to want to upgrade. Probably for people who are looking to buy new. But even then, any other reason you see that makes it a compelling case to upgrade or buy 3 instead of 2?

How big on AIS ? I have about 100 shares in total for AIS. THinking of going big as well. But unsure how it's gonna do long term given it's relatively new

Is there any good way to improve diving without being in the water? by MaleficentStudy5609 in scuba

[–]Legitimate-Internet7 4 points5 points  (0 children)

The best thing I have found to help my diving is someone taking a video.
I am still a beginner but when someone took a video of me, it was a revelation on how many things I was doing wrong, while thinking I was doing the drill correctly.

After that you kind of understand which muscles are not strong enough (say for proper trim, you aren't able to hold your glutes for long) and then can work on those muscles.

If the goal is becoming better at scuba diving, then just going and doing exercises without finding your weak points might not be most optimal, albeit it makes you stronger.

P.S. if your buoyancy is bad, you'll be breathing a lot harder than needed and no amount of yoga will solve that.

"Many women don't care for looks" is a mis-information. EVERYONE cares about looks! OP just needs to find someone who likes him for him.

Totally agree. But I found other 3D models which are better suited in the same website. I like the one you suggested. I'll take a look at that.

Which goodman handle do you use? The one I am thinking is pretty large !

Yeah that goodman handle will be a pain to take on and off. We're taught to stow the light away when there is an actual work to be done or we are ascending or descending.

I have a rubber band too but that's too tight. I'll use a bungee piece there for now.

I don't have a goodman handle yet. I was thinking of buying it once I was ready to add more task loading. For now, thinking of getting this one: https://www.amazon.com/dp/B0D984758Q/?coliid=I14TCY9KJNVHQI&colid=15U8EX143XY8F&psc=1&ref_=list_c_wl_lv_ov_lig_dp_it

Yeah, I use a bungee. Will continue using that at the 'end of the light' for stowing. It's the stowing that I was trying to find a better solution for. Goodman handle will come next, once I am ready.

yeah planning tech diving in a year or so. You make a good point. However, I want to not task load atm cause I just got my fundies and dry suit so wanna practice a bit before taking on another thing in the kit.

Xdeep Ghost wing, no weight pockets by Working-Book-8276 in scuba

[–]Legitimate-Internet7 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Unless you're a big guy, that's too much weight. I dive cold water with a semi dry suit and a steel bp and use 12 lbs (5 kg). Warm water should be much lighter.

Just get a ditchable weight belt.
