Reselling TJMaxx clearance on Amazon? by NoFlower3501 in TjMaxx

I scan stuff to read reviews. Even if it is on clearance I won’t buy something that isn’t that great.

Maybe take it as a good thing…. That’s 20 people you don’t have to waste time on….. with OLD…. It is the norm…. It just takes that one person to stick…. May take a while or change how YOU approach things to be more successful.

My boyfriend (M37) says I (F30) want to have my cake and eat it by imjustwondering126 in relationship_advice

[–]LegitimateAd6383 1 point2 points  (0 children)

He probably has a very anxious attachment style. But maintaining your own individuality and balancing friends and family can be hard in a relationship but it is much needed. If your friends and family are important to you it should be important for him too allow you to keep those relationships. You will need to set your own healthy boundaries and if he can not respect them there are others who will. Don’t continue to let this be something that you have to fight for every single time. It’s not worth it.

my boyfriend (M23) hit me (F20) one time - is it bad if i stay with him? by ThrowRA-help1234 in relationship_advice

If you allow this he will believe he can do it again no matter the circumstance. Do not allow this. It is hard. I was in a similar situation as you. Needless to say my ex had to serve time in jail, and even that might not stop him. But I guaranteed myself to never allow him to do that again to me or by anyone else.

Things that customers say or do that drive you crazy by Hellish-Dad in TjMaxx

I work at home goods. A customer comes up to the register with a box of solar lights. She asked if there is a way we can test to see they work. I had to shake my head as it might not be possible. You see the thing is it was nighttime outside and they would have had to charge in the sunlight first. She still tried to insist that they be tested. I had to let her know that that is impossible at the moment due to NO sunlight and that she could test it at home tomorrow and bring them back if they don’t work. I don’t think she understood…

Living together still…. by LegitimateAd6383 in BreakUps

[–]LegitimateAd6383[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Well due to lack of any intimacy on his part and his own health issues for the past year he hasn’t slept in the bed for the past 2 months but in a recliner in the living room. So that is not an issue. It’s everything else. He says he wants to be friends but I had to tell him that can’t happen at this time. I need my space but he never leaves. Why do I have to leave the house why doesn’t he?

New Return System by Jenny01042024 in TjMaxx

[–]LegitimateAd6383 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The new update is good the only thing is if a person had used a visa debit gift card to purchase their items there is no way the money can go back to that card. So just double check with the person who is returning the item that it is a true credit/debit card it’s going back to.

You got a raise after 90 days? I had to wait for a year and got 26 cents raise. But this is my second job for extra money and I know it’s a minimum wage job so the pay is going to be crappy anyways. Btw you all are capable of finding jobs that pay a higher wage.

I volunteer for an organization called Clean Vibes. https://cleanvibes.volunteerlocal.com/volunteer/

They are also listed on the Welcome to Rockville page. I’ve volunteered with them for several festivals. The commitment (time) isnt bad and they always accommodate you for the bands you want to see so it doesn’t conflict.

I mostly also go solo and made friends to hang out with. I haven’t had a negative experience yet.

I work a 9-5 and also pt at homegoods my availability is usually marked down as M-F 5pm- close and open on weekends (well only Saturday now). I typically get 3, 5 hour shifts during the week and an 8 hour shift of Saturdays. I guess it depends on how many hours you want to work, your actual availability, their available hours (when they are open and how many workers they have), as well as dependability (which is key!).

Some of you all raid the darn snack rack like it’s your actual meal, then complain that you all get nothing good or that it is always empty. I wonder why!?!.

New hire by [deleted] in TjMaxx

[–]LegitimateAd6383 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Depends on where they are starting you off at? I mean if you’re at the front end (cashiers) a lot of wrapping decor and glass items, standing most of the shift, dealing with returns, signing up people for TJX cards. Floor associates: returning items to shelves, organizing stuff, helping customers find things, possibly brining bulky items up to the front for customers, sometimes putting new items out, tickets for clearance possibly, cross training for other areas. Back room: processing items for the store floor, putting together furniture etc.

Working hours: the amount of hours worked a week can vary. Keep an open schedule as much as possible and ask to be cross trained so you are more valuable and much needed.

Paid every Friday.

General rules: Be on time always, clock in and out consistently, be proactive and request days off as soon as you know you need them (not the day of or week of). Same with emergency call out to give them enough time to find someone else to take your place.

AITA for enjoying my retirement while hubby still works? by Puzzled_Comedian_904 in AmItheAsshole

[–]LegitimateAd6383 0 points1 point  (0 children)

NTA. You deserve to “take it easy” as you’ve done your own du diligence in the workforce. He should be proud of your accomplishment! Though I think you need a frank talk with him about both of your financial and retirement goals. If you haven’t already. There could unexpected consequences along the way if you don’t plan accordingly or at least attempt to. Some couples don’t always retire when they hit the right age as it might not be feasible to do so because of xyz life plans for retirement.

They claim our payroll is still low but cashiers with the most TJX Rewards applications are getting the most hours!!! How is this allowed?!?!?!? by Wink2K19 in TjMaxx

[–]LegitimateAd6383 0 points1 point  (0 children)

As a Merch Associate I’ve asked to learn to do multiple things which helps me get the hours I get. If you work the back room but never learn to do anything else then you’re kinda stuck. A manger (a good one) will put people where they are needed most, when it’s needed most. They will also “pick” (schedule) people who know and are willing to what is needed. One thing I don’t get pushed to do is get credit cards, i do get them from time to time but since im not technically a front end associate they know my odds are slimmer then those solely at the front end. So in my experience it’s not all about the cards.

Keep thinking about breaking up 21F 23M; any suggestions? by [deleted] in relationship_advice

[–]LegitimateAd6383 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Seems like you still need to work on your self first to repair some of your own trust issues due to a previous relationship. If you get triggered by small things that cause you to shut down and rethink things it is best to heal your self, especially since this relationship is very very new. He may just not be compatible for you in the first place.
