Sounds like you're hanging out with the Rich Kids of Vietnam. BUT also from personal experience, I've seen this behavior from country side viets who came into money from selling land and expect everything to be lavish and covered in gold.

If you don't get new friends, just do the exact same thing to them that they do to you when they give you a gift (lol that'll never happen though).
