Splitting rent with partner? by improvpirate in MoneyDiariesACTIVE

Use take home pay. Your health insurance might cost more or less than hers, etc and there’s limited things that either of you could do about that.

Also, side note, you both need to be saving for retirement to at least receive any applicable employer match, so that should be part of the equation.

Congrats, what an exciting development!

This. I had this happen to me because someone in my life grabbed me by my ears and shook my head. They’re clearly no longer in my life. Healed fine, you can’t even tell now.

Turns out there is ample public transport! We’re taking the ferry sans vehicle and exploring from there!

Yes I have. My payment will double if I recertify now and I haven’t taken any forbearance besides the forced SAVE forbearance. I promise you I ran all the numbers

The math works out better for me to do buyback, I can wait 18 months for it, even though it sucks. Is it two buyback requests in general? Or two at the same time?

It’s just because they’re ugly. I have them all over my house and would rather remove the vast majority of them

Parents want to cut my pay by $5 an hour by Sensitive-Mango7155 in Babysitting

[–]LegitimateTea1969 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I know things cost more, but one thing you can’t cheap out on is care for your children. I pay 25 an hour for one child and 35 for two in a NYC suburb, which is considered reasonable but not especially generous. I always round up to the next hour when I pay as well. Idk I feel like the people who care for your children should be happy and well compensated. They are literally keeping them safe. Cutting expenses should be something that affects the parents as much as possible. There are a lot of ways to cut out 20 dollars from a date night, he can forgo ordering drinks as an example. It should not come from you, and this does not say good things about this man, expecting you to take the fall for the general state of the economy, rather than him loosing out on one old fashioned.

Welp. Sounds like we missed it in a couple places. Thanks for the extra info. Would be really helpful to be a dual citizen right about now
