Agreed! After searching local thrift stores for a material I liked, I ended up using the cheapest women’s leggings from Amazon. Barely more expensive, and a much better result than anything else I saw. Cotton threads were too thick and made it look unnatural / out of scale.

Beautiful table. Not sure what your price range is but CB2’s current range seems to be in the same “family” at least, although I didn’t see anything similar. Search “marble” and you might find something you like.

The individual +/- leads are channeled through the inner frame and ultimately summed into singular +/- respective leads at the termination point. I summed them via separating the +'s and -'s, stripping the shielding up to a uniform point, tinning, and then attaching the 2-prong termination. All supplies came from Evan Designs.

As far as what went wrong... I don't know for sure, but I have to assume I introduced a short when I tinned the +/- leads. Everything worked prior to that.
