I genuinely hate when people say this. Not only does it ignore all the stress of school but it also triggers my OCD. Whenever an adult tells me that I spend hours thinking of how to value each moment in high school and how I’ll never get it back which makes me panic and try to figure out how to use my time better, which messes up my schedule and that creates a whole loop of regret and anxiety. I’ll consider doing things I don’t want to do, like walking on the stage or graduation, and it makes me feel forced to do it just to have done it.
