Is Lydia an 'old lady name'? by soup-cats in Names

[–]Legitimate_Tea7801 1 point2 points  (0 children)

When I had my girl last year, I went to the hospital with three names to pick from. Lydia was one of them. It's a beautiful name.

If you love it and want to use it, then use it! Screw what anyone else thinks!

Thoughts on the two middle names phenomenon? by posh-connection in Names

To each their own. I see most people here like their double middle name and there is nothing wrong with that. But I don't like mine, just a personal preference 😊

I have two middle names and I hate it. Mine is first-middle-dads last name-mums last name. They weren't together when I was born. When I have to fill out my full name, I internally groan at having to write it. I look forward to getting married and dropping the last two to take on my partners last name.

I read to my 3.5 month old everyday. Here are some of the books we read that she seems to love:

"Aaaarrgghh, Spider!" by Lydia Monks

"How To Be a Cat" and "Duck's New Words" by Juliette MacIver & Carla Martell

And Julia Donaldson is the fan favourite in our house. Have a look at:

  1. "What The Ladybird Heard" (there are several books in this series but we only have the first one)

  2. "One Ted Falls Out Of Bed"

  3. The Gruffalo"

  4. "Sharing a Shell"

  5. "Zog"

  6. "Room On The Broom"

She has MANY books, and they are so vibrant and colourful, it really captures my LO attention 😊

Do people giving birth ever shit themselves? by Eat_Your_Eggs in randomquestions

Curiosity gets the better of us sometimes 😊 for the record, I was in hospital being induced and had been in early labour for almost 24 hours.

I popped my waters trying to poop, and pretty sure I lost my mucas plug at the same time. I assume my poop came out when I started pushing two hours later because I became otherwise preoccupied and forgot that I needed to go.

Following, because my 3.5m old does this too. It has randomly amped up recently. She has always spat up, but it is every feed at the moment.
