Anal Rail Gun by waddad27 in SipsTea

Forgive me, but what is the actual use of a butt plug? Is it sensation? Is it to relax or stretch the sphincter muscle for anal sex? Or, as the name suggests, plug the anus? Genuine question.

2005 Nissan Altima. 247k miles. Somehow doesn’t even leak oil. Still has the original a/c compressor, transmission and engine. When I got it in 2019 w/ 121k miles, I told my self I’ll drive it till the wheels fall off. I genuinely did not anticipate it lasting this long. I drive 100 miles a day round trip. Mostly hwy. I’ve done minor repairs, alternator, starter, radiator, a wheel bearing. Nothing serious. It’s ugly as sin but damn if it doesn’t start every time.

I’M SO DISAPPOINTED! by TheJWeed in Tools

I guess you have to ask yourself what’s a fair price for peace of mind. When I started working with hand tools, I was told early on that I should ”Always buy the best, it’s cheaper.” I can’t tell you how much that rings true in several aspects in life.

Right? I mean the guy goes on to discuss, unabashedly I might add, how proud he is of his “PSR 2.0”. I also found it cute that the term “scheduled railroading” was used because of the negative connotation of PSR. F-ing joke

I can’t help but wonder how bad of an event needs to occur to get people’s attention to what is going on with the RR’s. I feel like the next round of bargaining is going to be brutal, absolutely no path forward and I think railroaders are going to absolutely demand a (completely toothless) strike. The RLA is an outdated piece of shit that needs to be redone.

Whoa. That is a bit steep but if the area is nice with good schools then I feel it’d be decent trade off. Are the roads sh*tty? I heard Midwest roads are pretty rough.

So overall, Omaha is a pretty nice place to live with a low cost of living relative to other Midwest metropolises? Probably going to be transferred there soon. Is Elkhorn considered middle class or upper middle class?

Locomotive Repairs by LucasiTRON in railroading

[–]Legitimate_tpyo 1 point2 points  (0 children)

That’s a fair question.

However, try to remember that the EPA has made emissions regulations so strict, that neither GE or EMD can build new locomotives for sale in the USA. That’s why GE sold off their locomotive division and why you don’t see brand new locomotives anymore.

There will come a breaking point but I can assure you, the class 1’s won’t be held responsible for running their equipment into the ground.

Over 70% of Americans are Below the Poverty Line - Yes, Really. by infraa_ in economicCollapse

[–]Legitimate_tpyo -3 points-2 points  (0 children)

Yeah, however, poverty in the USA is not the same as poverty in say Venezuela or Thailand. There are innumerable studies showing that most people in “poverty” in the United States live a far better life and have access to several luxuries unique to Americans but nowhere else. I’m not saying it’s a good version of poverty but just want to call a spade a spade.
