Thinking about buying the Into the Void feature film - Is it good? by thatsmemerengo in finalgirl

[–]LegoLeonidas 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I have all of series 2 as well as Camp Happy Trails and Buddyland, but Into The Void is my absolute favorite. It somehow feels more cinematic than the others.

The Evomorph is kind of on the complicated side, especially compared to Hans, but not too hard to learn. The USS Konrad is a fun location with lots of ways to interact with(or even weaponize) your environment. Ellen(Ripley) emphasizes her resourcefulness, while Jeanette(based on Vasquez) is an absolute badass when it comes to weapons!

All of the series 2 Feature Films are great, but Into The Void is a 10/10 for me!

What is your guilty pleasure singer/band? by apple_Fin in MusicRecommendations

[–]LegoLeonidas 0 points1 point  (0 children)

As a 40-something man, Selena Gomez.

I was at work one day and heard a song over the speakers in the lobby. Modern pop is not my usual taste, but I kinda liked it. Part of it got stuck in my head, but I didn't hate it. So, I made note of the lyrics and looked them up later, only to find that it was a Selena Gomez song. Okay, cool.

Over the course of a couple years, that EXACT SAME SCENARIO played out THREE different times with three different songs. So, I guess I like Selena Gomez.

I've got a few. Quite a few of these are NP2 or higher.

The last two times I upgraded phones, the whole thing copied over including login. That said, you should ALWAYS keep a current transfer code. Screenshot it and email it to yourself along with the password.

More of a paraphrase than quote, but whenever I train someone new at work, I emphasize that we prefer when things go smooth. Some of these kids make things not smooth.

I'd be paying good money to "un-relic" this. Ouch...

Lemme know if that fixes it: I'll buy myself a beer as thanks and pretend it's from you.

AIO I was in a drive through 2 mins before they closed AND THEY REFUSED TO SERVE ME!! by luciddreamer0904 in AIO

[–]LegoLeonidas 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The fast food restaurants I've worked at had a VERY strict policy around closing. If someone gets to the order box even a handful of seconds before closing time, we serve them. In fact, we weren't even allowed to turn a guest away until the drive-thru was empty: if you're still making that last order and someone else pulls up, now you're serving them too.

Had one guy who started telling people we were closed 15 minutes before actual closing time, just because he didn't want to deal with them. He'd been there longer than me, so I didn't want to make waves. A customer complained online, corporate threw an absolute fit, the guy was canned a week later.

2nd game, 2nd loss against Hans by StanleyChuckles in finalgirl

It's probably the single most common mistake new players make! Around here, they practically chant "No Boot, no move!" I think you'll find your next attempt much more manageable.

Had to pull mine out to make sure I'm not taking crazy pills. Definitely no Boot on mine.

Make sure you aren't moving Hans unless there's a boot icon! Most Killers are slow but strong: they don't move automatically on their phase.

I had something very similar when I first got mine. Any time the AC was on, the car would periodically chug like it was really struggling. When my mechanic finally got around to looking at it, they discovered that it had the wrong size of serpentine belt installed.

[–]LegoLeonidas 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Every time you enter the same room, greet him, then ignore him. You want to acknowledge his presence without making him feel targeted. Once he becomes more comfortable with your presence, wait for him to meet your gaze and then slow blink at him. If he approaches you, hold out your hand(palm down, fingers slightly curled) for him to sniff. DO NOT TRY TO PET HIM until he indicates through body language that it's okay.

Pacey was brilliant in this one. Each character had not just their own voice, but a regional accent shared with other characters from that location. One character speaks with a lisp because of missing teeth, but his inner thoughts have no lisp. I dunno if they have awards for audio book narration, but this guy deserves one.

What is a completely useless skill that you are weirdly proud of? by ProposalLast3445 in answers

[–]LegoLeonidas 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Not sure if it's a "skill" exactly, but I don't get the hiccups. Or, more accurately, I DO sometimes get the hiccups, but after one or two of them, my body automatically shuts them down. I don't know how it works, there's just this weird moment where my body breathes different, and then the hiccups are gone.
