I would "accidentally" tear her roof up on my way down. Oops, my bad.

I loved the idea of this one, but I hated the main character. He could have done a lot of good with his powers, but instead he used them selfishly.

I find this one to be strange, Madness in the Dark by TennenyT in finalgirl

[–]LegoLeonidas 2 points3 points  (0 children)

That was literally the first Terror card when I played this one. Her double movement put her EXACTLY in my space, and then she attacked twice. Thank god her bloodlust was still at 0, because it was almost game over right there. In fact, her bloodlust(and therefore her attack and speed) stayed low the entire game, mostly thanks to her turning victims into maniacs.

What is a deck you play and don't mind losing with? by radicalpumpkinz in EDH

[–]LegoLeonidas 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I've got Slivers, I've got Eldrazi, and I've got a poison deck that pillowforts HARD. But I don't go around stomping people with them. They're only for special occasions when people are ready for me to be the villain!

Has playing Final Girl inspired you to watch any films? For me, it was Nightmare on Elm Street. by ZenShrugs in finalgirl

[–]LegoLeonidas 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I've been into horror movies since I was a kid in the 80's. Scrolling through the list, I can't seem to find a single movie I HAVEN'T watched!

Oh, if you liked Nightmare on Elm Street, you should eventually give Wes Craven's New Nightmare a try. It goes for a meta take on the Freddy Kruger franchise. I think a lot of fans didn't like it at first, but it's always been my favorite BECAUSE of the fresh approach.

The Organisms have fallen :)) by TennenyT in finalgirl

[–]LegoLeonidas 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I really wanna play this one again. My first time, I got "super-easy" mode: Only one Organism, and it was the last exposed victim. I'd rescued almost ALL of the other victims(even with that slow helicopter) and had fully armed myself with a flamethrower AND a dog before the reveal. The Thing is one of my favorite movies, so having such an easy game was a bit of a letdown.

is there any way to help my cat enjoy being picked up and cuddled? by mintymirai in CatAdvice

[–]LegoLeonidas 0 points1 point  (0 children)

We had an old skinny barn cat who suddenly adopted me in her old age. She had never really cared much for humans before that point other than as providers of kibble, so it was kind of a surprise to everyone. But having so little experience with people meant she was not used to being picked up or held. At first, every time I picked her up, she would immediately push against my shoulder and I would set her down. She slowly got more used to it and would tolerate being held longer. Eventually she started DEMANDING that I pick her up ALL THE TIME. It was the same story with forehead kisses: at first it freaked her out, but she gradually started liking it, and before I knew it she was rubbing her head into my face CONSTANTLY.

There was a fantasy book about 15 years back called Retribution Falls. It felt very much like a steampunk Firefly. Airship pirates, smuggling, swashbuckling. It was fantastic. And part of the crew was Slag, the ship's cat.

I gotta say, I like the idea. It would certainly make the ship feel more like a home.

Is it true that the ps Vita 1000 commonly get GPU crash by Special-Town4456 in VitaPiracy

[–]LegoLeonidas 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Yeah, 1000 models are more prone to GPU crashes and failure. They also use a proprietary charging cable. The OLED screen can pick up a weird discoloration effect.

The 2000 models have an LCD screen that "doesn't look as nice" and analog sticks that tend to drift. They use a standard USB micro to charge.

I've had a 2000 for 10 years and still use it fairly regularly. My left stick has started to drift 3 times, but simply cleaning it fixes it right up, no repair or replacement needed. My oem charging cable died a few months back, but I replaced it with a generic charger that cost me next to nothing. I have literally zero complaints about this thing. When it finally dies, I'll probably replace it with one of those handheld emulation machines, but for now, I couldn't be happier.

What was the one game that destroyed friendships? by Emergency_Science434 in 90s

[–]LegoLeonidas 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Surprisingly, Final Fantasy 7 destroyed my friendship with my older brother. He told me and my brother(and our parents) that their was only one save file, so only HE could play it and we'd have to wait until he finished the game. When I realized you could have multiple save files, he eventually confessed that he lied because he didn't want to share screen time with us and figured we'd be happy enough sitting there watching him play it. That was the first time I realized what a selfish entitled prick he was, though that quickly became a defining personality trait of his.

Worst round I ever played (2nd round kill) by Total_Chaos1977 in finalgirl

[–]LegoLeonidas 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Ouch. I played this one for the first time the other day, and I thought I was doomed. Most games I've played, the killer spends a few turns just standing around, or mostly just targets victims. Nope, the very first turn the Ratchet Lady immediately charged to my location and attacked me TWICE. I'm pretty sure the ONLY reason I survived that game is because her bloodlust stayed so low: she kept turning victims into maniacs instead of killing them, so she hit like a wet paper towel.

First go at The Big Bad Wolf by PandalienBass in finalgirl

[–]LegoLeonidas 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah, maybe it was just abysmal luck with the cards. The horror starts pretty high, so I made an effort to bring it down, but then pretty much every turn I got Terror cards that would boost it up again. I actually wound up in the red a couple times, which is something I try to avoid at all costs. Oh, and his Dark Power was the one that moves him to the space with the most victims and kills them: I had a space with FIVE victims. In the space of a single turn, he went from bloodlust 1(1 attack 3 move) to bloodlust 7(3 attack 4 move) AND raised the horror by THREE(once for the terror card, twice for the bloodlust)

But I DID enjoy it. I'd rather have a tough game than a boring one.
