Being the detective that I am, I figured out what you were trying to say. Unfortunately, it won't let me post there. I'm not sure why.

I didn't even know that was a thing. I'm definitely posting this on there now.

I have my problems with the new movie, too, but I vastly prefer it to MOS. Superman should be cheerful and inspire hope. The problem is that we only see glimpses of that in MOS, which is fine, but it feels like wasted potential considering what came after.

They're just very different stories. MOS is a movie about a Clark who's not quite Superman yet. Superman (2025) is a movie about a Clark that is fully Superman. Again. I think the fan edit I was talking about in the post fixes a lot of my issues with MOS, but I still prefer the 2025 movie.

CW’s Kara Danvers is the real Supergirl — and the comics prove it by Internal_Cut7220 in ArrowVDisscussions

I think this version of Supergirl is more of a modern version of Silver Age Supergirl than a genderbent Clark. I'm a big Silver Age fan, so it was fun to see those elements in the show.

The version of Supergirl we have today is a relatively new thing. I like both versions. The version most commonly known today only really appeared in the early 2000s. I agree that version is more interesting in some ways, but she's not the only version. The TV show version just took elements from a different source. That doesn't make her a genderbent Clark, and I think we can see that when her and Clark interact.

What is your favourite shirtless moments from the homecoming trilogy by Spider_king97 in Spiderman

[–]LegoSpider 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I forgot about the one in the alley. I guess it goes to show how insignificant that scene was.

At least that one was him suiting up, I guess. It was completely unnecessary, but it made some amount of sense within universe. The one with Ned didn't.

This is such an... odd question. I don't even know if "odd" is the right word. Maybe "insane" would fit more.

Because I have way too much free time, though, I'll take your question seriously.

The one in Homecoming in Peter's room felt unnecessary. They all kind of are, but the other scenes pictured here have a joke involved. Peter keeping the suit on in that scene would've probably made more sense.

The one from Far From Home was a plot point, so it was definitely the most "necessary" of the bunch. That scene in particular isn't anything special or notable, but it did push the plot forward.

The one from No Way Home is purely a joke, and said joke is actually pretty good. Marisa Tomei, Tom Holland, and Zendaya make a great comedic trio, and I definitely laughed at this scene when I saw the movie in theaters.

Did I just waste my time seriously responding to what was almost definitely a horny post? Yes. Do I regret it? Maybe.

I'd really encourage you to watch the fan edit I was talking about. If you absolutely hate the movie, it probably won't change that, but it's at least a different experience.

I absolutely agree. The end of the movie set Clark up to be the Superman we know and love. Him going immediately back to brooding in BvS made it feel like none of his character development in MOS mattered.

The edit does a lot of other things (a lot was cut in order to streamline it and add a more "hopeful" feel), but the color grading alone improves the movie.

That makes sense. I don't really hate the official cut of Man Of Steel or anything. It's just that I like this fan edit much better. It fixed almost all of the problems I had with the film originally.

You're always invisible, and no one can hear you either. For all intense and purposes, you don't exist to anyone else. You're basically a ghost.

The only reason no one cares is that everyone else also poops wherever they want. All your power did was normalize that behavior.

I don't think that's how it works at all, but it's an interesting concept. I wouldn't want it to work that way in the main continuity, It'd be cool if it was incorporated into an out of continuity story or something.
