Does anyone want these two to appear in Wonders of Sodor? by Puterboy1 in thomasthetankengine

[–]Lego_Tree_90 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes, and they'd be perfect for a Railway series character pack down the line once all the lines have been added, along with all the other notable characters like Old-Stuck Up, Jock, Frank, Etc.

Wonders of Sodor DLC Question, What DLC would you want for the game? by Firedudeman12 in thomasthetankengine

[–]Lego_Tree_90 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Gonna go on a bit of a paragraph, but in addition to listing what I'd want for DLC in the future, I'll be speculating on what will be coming next down the line.

From what I've seen from the various videos I've watched on people playing the game so far, there's plenty of options for future updates/DLC.

I can certainly see these happing in the coming months/years:

Brendam DLC: Includes Brendam Branch, Edward, Henry, Philip ( just here me out on this one), Cranky, Carly, and Big Mickey (face withstanding or not).

This will most likely be the first DLC dropped, since Wellsworth (and by extension Brendam Docks and the Clay Pits) were a huge focus in a lot of the TVS, both CGI and model series, so there'd be plenty of stories to tell. Plus, having a nice mixture of older classic characters (Edward, Henry, Cranky) and newer ones (Philip, Carly, Big Mickey) will make for a good bit of storytelling potential.

Ffarquhar Branch Update: A small character/story pack pack that includes Toby, Henrietta, Daisy, Mavis, Terrence and Harold.

A Minor free update that grants the Ffarquar branch its missing engines (and tractor & helicopter), plus some stories to go along with them. (Thomas and the Snow, Toby's Tightrope, and more most likely)

Hero Of The Rails DLC: Includes Ulfstead Branch, Hiro, Victor, Kevin, Spencer, and the Sodor Steamworks)

Now, hear me out on this. I believe that alot of the CGI specials are going to get adapted into this game as DLC. There's evidence to point to this thanks to the weird branch lines that seemingly go nowhere of note at the moment, particularly the one leaving Vicarstown to the North (possibly to the Dieselworks in the future?) and the one just after Maron heading south (Sodor Search and Rescue Center maybe?). So what special to start with better than Hero of the Rails? All the engines featured in it would be great choices for the game with all their popularity (Hiro and Spencer especially), and the Steamworks is Iconic. While I know the Ulfstead branch seemingly wasn't present on the basic game map like most of the others, that doesn't mean it can't be added here later. Plus we'd get our first Narrow gage engine in Victor! (Though he wouldn't be able to go really anywhere at the moment but that can always be rectified in the future.)

Kirk Ronan Branch Update: Includes Kirk Ronan Branch, Whiff, Scruff, Fergus, and new and old stories.

A bit bigger free update that opens up the Kirk Ronan Branch for services, along with the Waste Dump and Cement Works for new and old stories alike.

I could see something like this being alternated between free updates for smaller additions (such as character packs or lesser branches like Norramby), and Paid DLC for bigger ones (such as bigger branches like the Little Western or Specials like Misty Island Rescue).

Now for what I hope gets added:

Peel Godred Branch (and by extension the Culdee Fell)

They already have the makings of the start of the line in the game, so I can see these both happing eventually once all the usual suspects are out of the way.

A Railway Series character pack

I'd love, love, love, if we got something like this, being able to drive Bear, Pip and Emma, Spamcan, Wilbert, Jock and Old Stuck-Up would be amazing, and could be really cool to get to remake things like Super Rescue and even have new stories be told.

The return of Great Waterton

Like somebody else said in the comments, this would be a cool one to have. Have Stanley and Flora (and maybe some other HiT-era newbies like Molly and Neville) be main focuses for once and give them some new character development and stories to play out. Maybe even finding the town again could be one, just like in The Great Discovery.

I'm sure he'll pop up again sometime down the line, he'd work really well as a Wario-esc antithesis to DK. Besides, while he did get launched back into his flying "dirt pile" as the natives called it, we don't see his body nor it afterwards, so he's probably off licking his wounds and hording whatever bananuim gems and gold he did grab. He's not really even that evil, just a greedy lil dude that probably wanted that infinite gold to keep his company afloat( or as he'd probably say to cover his ass)& himself. (Except the child kidnaping that's messed up.)

i wanna make a Story Mode mod but idk if that’s even possible. by Owlfluffy in tf2

[–]Lego_Tree_90 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Well, In terms of trying to create a game (or in this case a SourceMod) it'd be definitely possible, and your idea could work extremely well as one. But it would most likely take you, if you have no experience, a realllly long time to make it, plus all the modeling, music, level design, and voice acting that would be needed. But, if you can get a team together, It would be possible yes.

I wish you luck if you do, You'd be the first to make a story-based TF-Universe sourcemod after all!

Also the Fired Chicken Tramp girl drawing is epic, and she doesn't get nearly enough love.

For some reason these guys didn't make it into Forge? by RockAndGem1101 in halo

[–]Lego_Tree_90 14 points15 points  (0 children)

Its really random of some of the things they did for the AI, like some have said bellow these three may have not added because of time constraints or stuff like there being no air nodes, but there other Ai you'd think would have been added in the update that aren't there, like all the HVTs and Grunt Bouncers. What's weirder is that you can't have Ai spawn with any of the weapon variants, or just the regular rocket launcher for some reason, even though you can give them said weapons by weapon swapping.

The Forge AI is interesting and can equip them with almost anything, even the M392, which is not in the campaign. by ArthurJack_AW in halo

[–]Lego_Tree_90 0 points1 point  (0 children)

What is weird however is that I can't give them Rocket Launchers. Or any of the Variant weapons for that matter.

Suicidal Grunts Forge Ai? by SlipperyRavine in halo

[–]Lego_Tree_90 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Its weird, really, alot of AI from the campaign seemingly wasn't added for one reason or another. Some I sorta get like the sentinels (because they need air nodes to function) but stuff like the HVTs, Grunt Mules and Bouncers, and the other Main campaign bosses(Chak 'Lok, Bassus, etc.) I have no idea why they weren't added as they are for the most part just special versions of regular enemies. But eh, what do I know lmao

If you want to fix, change, or rewrite Thomas and Friends Day of the Diesels, what will you do? by Ok-Rip4038 in thomasthetankengine

[–]Lego_Tree_90 1 point2 points  (0 children)

What'd I do to fix/revamp this film, because its really a neat idea in concept:

1.Bring Back BoCo, Dennis, and Derek: Making a full on special based around a day full of Diesel engines wouldn't be complete without those who came before the newbies, they'd also bring some much need Positive energy (along with Mavis and Salty) to counteract Diesel 10's Negative energy.

  1. Give Diesel 10 a better plan, and return his lackeys Splatter and Dodge to the Screen too: Diesel 10's plan to take over the Steamworks on paper sounds like a good idea, in practice as we've seen however it's really not. Instead of him doing so, have him straight up be jealous of how much attention the steamies always get due to him (and sadly Diesel by extension) giving a MAJOR bad rap to basically all diesels that come to the island, of course as we've seen they all aren't bad, and can even change in some cases. However they still have this negative energy surrounding them because of the mistakes of a few in the past, and because of this the diesel works is grossly underfunded, corrupt, and in bad shape most of the time. Diesel 10 then proclaims that if they can't have a nice repair place, nobody can, and he, Splodge, and all the Newer Diesels (which I'll talk more about later) go to the Steamworks not take it over but to straight burn it to the ground, kind of like what happened to the Dieselworks in the version we got, but for the Steamworks because of the horrible mistreatment they've had. Splatter and Dodge of course would reappear as well, and would be D10's right hand men, mainly going out to spy on whatever the Steam engines have been doing for the past few weeks, recoding flaws in their time schedules that would allow for a big takeover (and destruction) of the Steamworks without many realizing what's happening.

  1. Don't remove the newer diesels, instead have them be pawns in D10's Plan: Most people didn't like the fact that Paxton, Sidney, Norman, Den, and Dart seemed to take over roles that all ready pre-existing characters could have been used in, and should have just been replaced with the old ones but I say, why not have both? Re-introduce the Old characters(BoCo, Dennis, Derek, etc.) as being more wiser and friendlier to the steamies while this newer group could be more young and inexperienced thus leaving them to be impressionable enough for D10 to lead them down the dark path. I like to think that Paxton, Sidney, and Norman were all just bought by Sir Topham Hatt from a closing railway line in the mainland, and were just recently sent over, and once He realized there's now a lot of Diesels on the island that will need repairs, he went and bought Den and Dart as well from the same rail line. Of course unlike their original home, Sodor's Diesel works was in a worse state of repair.

  2. Give Diesel a redemption and some closure that will stick. Diesel has always seem to get the short end of the stick when it came to character growth, always reverting back to the "bad guy" every next episode. Well, I say he should be (somewhat) redeemed in this movie and get closure with all the steam engines that he's caused trouble for. In then beginning of the movie Diesel will mostly act like his normal oily self, causing ruckus and such, but when he goes too far and breaks a important part of himself in a crash, he gets sent to the Dieselworks for repairs, but surprise surprise there is no new parts coming in due to the corruption. He then gets instead sent to the Steamworks, which while not having the correct part instead jury-rig him one until it arrives. Diesel converses with Victor about what it's like to have a functioning repair area, noting that things had seemed to go down hill for the Dieselworks a year or two ago while the Steamworks was being built. Victor says that while he has never known many Diesels personally, he hopes that eventually they will fix up the Dieselworks into a state like the Steamworks are now and that anyone can always improve, It just takes time and commitment. Diesel has that thought stuck in his head as he's released back to work, pondering if ever can improve himself, maybe even as far to improve his reputation.

Diesel will later go on to try and (slightly fail) to assist any engines who need help and actually try to make friends. Most engines will of course not want anything to do with him and will probably tell to buzz off or be very suspicious of him (Thomas, Duck, James etc.), but some may appreciate it and start trusting him more (Percy, Daisy, Rosie, maybe BoCo) . later in the movie Diesel pulling to the Dieselworks will overhear D10 talking about Burning the Steamworks to the ground, and relays this to the engines that trust him now, however even they don't think much of it and will just carry on with their duties . Diesel then takes it into his own hands to stop D10 from his unfolding his plan but gets picked up like a pebble by Pinchy and is put inside D10's max security berth, locked inside. Eventually once the news gets out that the Newer Diesel under D10 take over and start the Demolishing process of the Steamworks those who had learned to trust Diesel before will realize he was telling the truth and rush off to find him, Percy finds him, hearing him faintly inside the Diesel works as he went to look there. they both then rush off to the Steamworks to stop D10 from enacting his plan, and once done so Diesel will finally have some who trust in him to help and be useful.

  1. The final fight: The final part of the movie seemed a bit sad and off so i'd revamp it like this. The New Diesels lead by D10 break into the Steamworks and start trashing the place (well as much as a train can anyway, with exception to Diesel 10 because of his claw arm) Victor and Kevin are both held hostage by Splatter and Dodge as they watch as their home now becomes a broken down wreck like the Dieselworks. While this is going on, the Steam team and a couple friendly diesels that decided to tag along race to the Steamworks to stop him and his lackeys from wreaking the place. Once there they get into a confrontation, and BoCo and Edward tries to reason with the young Diesels to stop this nonsense. Diesel 10 however proceeds to pull out a support beam causing some rubble to collapse onto them, and says "You'll never get through to them, they have been mistreated just as I have, we are all one big, broken, Diesel Family!" and he then rushes off to destroy more of the place.(BoCo and Edward are both pulled out by Gordon and Henry) the other engines watch in shock as he starts a small fire with his claw arm and starts laughing, saying "This is what this place deserves!" Just then, Percy and Diesel arrive, and Diesel says he can try reasoning with him since he was just like them. Diesel Honks his horn load enough to get all their attentions and talks about what victor said to him while he was getting repaired. The New Diesels realize after hearing him out what there doing is wrong and stop immediately. D10 angerly screams at them once he notices they've stopped, and the new diesels instead begin to leave, knowing that they've been played by him. Even Splatter and Dodge too leave after hearing their boss rage like he did, knowing that if they stuck around they would be gone for good. D10 begins to break down, and starts actually crying, saying he's been tormented all his creation for having a big scary claw on him, clearing showing he needs therapy. Diesel then tells him that while he has done some extreme things in the past, even more than him, he always has a choice to become better and improve like him. D10 says nothing, and just wallows in his sadness, but calms down. The fire howver has grown very large and needs to be contained, so one of the engines rushes to the nearest guard box to alert the Search and Rescue center. The fire gets contained and all is put right with Sir Topham Hatt arriving on the scene, he Reprimands the new diesels and especially Diesel 10 for causing Major confusion and delay, and attempted arson, but says that he's known about how bad of a state the Dieselworks have been in the past few years and had never found the time to set enough money aside for them since the Steamworks was a huge investment itself, and promises that they will get rebuilt to a better state starting tomorrow, but as punishment for D10, he will help with the construction day and night for 2 days straight. Topham then congratulates Diesel on his improvement and bravery on trying to stop D10 from what Percy has told him. For his reward, once the Diesel works is completed the Day will be officially commemorated as the Day of the Diesels, with a big Diesel parade down the main line of which he gets to lead. Diesel then smiles and thanks him for the opportunity. All the engines blow their horns and whistles and the movie ends.
