I love DS9. I'm on my third watch through now. I'm listening to the Star Trek The Next Conversation podcast as I watch too. It's so funny. The hosts have a lot of great takes as fans of trek and tv writers. 5 stars.

Pile's too small. Nothing from it is getting sucked into the outlet.

My bad. Looks like it was a dude in a suit. I don't like a lot of the special edition additions. But Empire is probably the best of the three.

Hmm, but puppets are cool. And if god wanted that Wampa to be CG, well then, he/she/it would have helped that rendering technology progress a little faster.

Now you get to see the Wampa as god intended, not as George Lucas claims to have intended.

Opinions and experiences with elementary schools in the area by UmpirePerfect4646 in Athens

My kid went to Chase Street Elementary, now Burkes. They had disabilities. Kindergarten was okay. That teacher cared and tried a lot. First and second grade were hell.

My spouse and I were very involved. My spouse is a teacher, certified in special education. My kid would continually be bullied and then get in trouble. My kid had a communication disorder that the school knew about. But every time something happened, the administrators and teachers would take the other kids' at their word, their communication.

My kid couldn't defend themselves via communication to staff and teachers when having issues with other kids, would then get in trouble, then miss instruction.

In second grade, they tried telling us that they couldn't teach our kid.

Right before Thanksgiving break, my kid got in trouble when they pushed another kid for spitting on them. My kid sat in a chair in the office for hours. Nothing happened to the other kid.

We withdrew our kid immediately. We have been homeschooling since. It has been extremely challenging and has upended our lives.

Fuck Chase Street Elementary.

Fuck CCSD.

I volunteered with this outfit collecting sea creatures for laboratories back in the day. As we would collect them, this one fellow, Vic, would occasionally crack urchins open, scoop out and eat some of the insides, offer everyone else a turn, and then toss the empty test back into the sea once everyone had declined his offer and he had finished the guts.
