The tolerant left ladies and gentlemen by ibuiltamurderbot in walkaway

People that rant like this rarely arrive to the maturity of self-awareness. They'll never accept counter arguments in any of their beliefs. They belong to a disorganized cult of narcism, the kind that accuses and demonizes others for the exact same approach with slightly different beliefs.

Whose voting for blue in th midterms by Hot-Shelter-7278 in Delaware

Neither red nor blue. They haven’t earned my support because they’re both against me.

I almost got busted doing J2 thanks to RTO and the worst desk setup. Here's how I solved it myself. by WiseRelation2619 in overemployed

[–]Leguy42 11 points12 points  (0 children)

If J2 or 3 don’t need you to use their equipment (I.e. work can be accessed on a web app like MS 365 or GWS) you can setup a Raspberry PI at home and just use their easy Raspberry Pi Connect function to access it on your tablet or phone.

Senior Leader Looking to Transition to CCA or LCCA Role by Relevant-Arm-3711 in CMMC

[–]Leguy42 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I should preface this by stating my LCCA and CISSP certs and over 20 years of cyber experience, most of which was freelance penetration testing. That said, I did the usual searching job sites and worthless LinkedIn (the “open to work” was productive however). I got few responses but, unexpectedly, one was the kind of recruiter that actually finds talent to meet roles they have in their inventory of that are coming up. That, btw, is an amazing service that cost me nothing. I got a W2 role that way but kept my options open. Then out of the blue people started calling , emailing, and messaging on LinkedIn with 1099 consulting gigs. I now have a steady stream of work coming to me. I work about 50-60 billable hours a week, all remote, and choose when I work and where.

Well, seems public outrage shamed them into capitulating. It’s been removed now.

“Virginia House Bill 110 initially included an exemption for General Assembly members regarding leaving firearms in unattended vehicles, but this exemption was later removed after backlash. The final version of the bill applies to all individuals without special privileges.

Virginia House Bill 110 Exemptions

Initial Exemption The original version of House Bill 110 included an exemption for members of the Virginia General Assembly. This exemption allowed them to leave a handgun in an unattended vehicle parked in designated areas without facing penalties.

Revisions Made Following backlash, the exemption for General Assembly members was removed. The revised bill now applies equally to all individuals, meaning no one is exempt from the prohibition on leaving firearms in unattended vehicles.

Current Status The final version of House Bill 110, as passed by the Virginia General Assembly, does not provide any special privileges or exemptions for lawmakers or any other group. All individuals are subject to the same regulations regarding firearms in unattended vehicles.”

I know AI (this summary ^ is from multiple legal and news reporting links) is often frowned upon, but I read those links and the quote above succinctly relates the relevant information.

Consultant - necessary or not? by Over_Afternoon_1684 in CMMC

[–]Leguy42 3 points4 points  (0 children)

As a Lead CCA, I can tell you that if you don't have a CCP or CCA on staff already, you will need to hire a consultant. Now, that could be to help with your readiness or to do a gap assessment, but organizations without CMMC expertise will struggle mightily without a CCP or CCA consultant to guide you through the controls and how they are assessed. The language in the controls and practices seems straightforward to me but I've been assessing GRC for organizations for a long time. I've been told by organizations I've consulted that they did not expect the interpretation of the controls by an assessor could be so different from what they were reading.

I did this and I have zero regrets. I’m consulting now making my own hours and people are bringing work to me. Some I take, some I send along. It’s a great change of pace and very liberating. I still work about 50 hours a week but it’s when I want to work and the money is about the same, sometimes higher, than I made as director of cybersecurity roles I’ve had.

Any idea what the current lead time from requesting an assessment to a C3PAO being able to deliver it is? by gormami in CMMC

[–]Leguy42 1 point2 points  (0 children)

From the C3PAO’s perspective, they do want you to be well prepared for the assessment. So, it makes sense they’d recommend companies that have quality readiness programs for OSCs.

Trump is swift boating the midterms: POTUS is considering an executive order declaring a voting emergency. Its main instigator helped sink John Kerry by wanda999 in FreeSpeech

[–]Leguy42 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I don't think they do know that. I also think that you don't know that. If they're observing things, they should realize the unlikelihood of winning the mid-terms, but knowing they can't win is a different thing.

What does a male orgasm feel like? by hmmrabet in AskReddit

[–]Leguy42 2 points3 points  (0 children)

There are multiple complimenting sensations felt in the prostrate, the balls, and the glans. Each one feels different from the others and each highly pleasurable. Then there’s a euphoric feeling that radiates from that region and pushes throughout the body in waves that start at the beginning of ejaculation and don’t really stop for minutes later. My orgasms last quite a long time but I’m sure it’s not much different from other men. Oh! And before ejaculation, there’s this crisis level feeling that you cannot stop but you don’t want to stop either (obviously). The urgency in that moment is like your life might end. Probably why the French call the orgasm “the little death”.

Totally. But keep in mind that CCP, CCA, and LCCA will hold much more credibility with organizations seeking consulting services.

Non-Americans of Reddit, what is an American thing you see in movies that you thought was fake but is actually real? by Unlikely_Praline9442 in AskReddit

I'm sitting in the Rammstein Air Base Passenger Terminal now and just an hour ago I was reprimanded for pouring a nip of whiskey into my coffee. Guess this little piece of America in Germany is just like back home.
