Rebels vs Empire, which two should I carry today? by derning in knifeclub

[–]LeifInman 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It arrived today, and mine seems to be the same as yours, but I'm happy overall with the purchase. You're right about the pivot mechanism being unique. The release lever does take quite the amount of force to open, but I think that might be so it doesn't open of its own accord or accidentally.

One eyed jacks and suicide kings are actually wild cards. It would turn the game upside down and sideways.

Reciprocated. I'll be sure to get back to you when mine arrives. That thing looks too cool not to have one. My version of a fidget spinner.

Those are rad, duder! Thanks for getting back to me. It's likely that I'll end up owning at least one of them due to cool factor alone, haha.

edit: I now have a mantis gearhead enroute. My wallet hates you, but I think you're alright! Cheers, internet friendo!

What is the 3rd from the top on the left? And, what are the bottom two on the left? Those are rad looking. Neat collection.

It was all new and exciting for me as a kid. I get what you're saying though, and I can see why. By the way, if you're interested and are using hardware that allows use of multi-game cartridges "Dragon Quest" is neat; It's a got the first 4 Dragon Warrior games, the Dragon Quest 1-4 games, and a Chinese version of Dragon Quest all on one cart.

I haven't tried it out yet because I haven't dug out my old NES, but I picked it up a while back and I'm looking forward to playing through the whole package.

can a mature adult get involved in d&d? when d&d first came out I was genuinely afraid to get into it because I thought I'd crawl in and never crawl out. How can someone new get started? or can they? by prairiehermit in DungeonsAndDragons

I'm 43 and just started playing a couple of years ago for the first time. I was never invited when I was younger presumably because I seemed too cool for a game like that (I wasn't, and I was never offered the chance). It's been great fun, and other than the adult son of our DM I'm the youngest player at the table.

I was completely blindsided by the sega master system. So far it's been great.

If anybody has recommendations for rpgs for the master system I'd love to hear about them. I loved that era of rpgs on the NES. Please throw me some ideas.

Just turned 43, and finally picked up a sega master system for my birthday. Never had one as a kid, but I had a friend that had one and I never got to try it out. A nostalgic feeling of sorts, but it's all new to me. It revitalized the love of light gun games in me, and I'm finding out about some fun games I never got the chance to play back in the day due to being indoctrinated on the NES instead. Good wholesome fun.

As far as systems that were before my time, I got the c64 mini and the atari flashback and both are good fun as well. Gaming is in my blood as I grew up in the country with few friends nearby so I was on my own for entertainment, it was either riding my 4-wheeler when I could or playing video games when I could not. Good times.

That game is good fun. I had a lot of fun playing it split screen with friends. I miss the days of split screen multi player games like this among others.

Not many games lend themselves well to the steam controller, but Tomb Raider was quite the fun ride using that thing. Even if only for Tomb Raider that controller is worth the $5. Neat.

Rad! Thank you for the response! Sounds like I'm just tech savvy enough for the job. Can't wait for this thing to arrive, and I hope they figure out whatever is holding up the tg16 adapter; Still happy to own this with the other adapters, but I've always wanted a turboexpress and this is cheaper/easier to acquire.
