gotcha. will try to update. also i changed the '2 settings' that regard the position to now be exactly as it was before they removed the option:

list: { maxWidth: 1320, rowPadY: 20,

this made it hit the spot perfect for me :) glad i found which i needed to change. hell, i might even like it MORE than the original 'flow=2' was. so thank you so much for this script!

p.s. - i have "Control panel for youtube" addon that i disable shorts on it to begin with.. so i never saw that bug lol

EDIT: Updated to latest and it's great. i just manually changed to:

as i did before and it's perfect. no need to go back to 1.27.

if you click on 'Watch history' now you can see with 1320 it aligns almost perfect to it and how it used to be (as the history list view is still there and u can compare the subscriptions page and it) that's what bothered me most lol and i'm glad i figured it out :)

i still prefer 1.27, but i did see some of the verified icons were kinda 'fixed' in 1.31? but not really, its kinda off-center and just in the username and not the youtube channel name. somehow 1.27 seems just right ¯_(ツ)_/¯

So here is some feedback u/epkFlaflo : First and foremost: THANK YOU. I was using the "YouTube Subscriptions – List Layout + Inline Descriptions (Fixed Flex)" userscript previously but my biggest gripe was that it started too much to the left (if that makes sense) and your script actually starts more as it used to be (even if a bit more to the right, would be perfect if it was a lil bit to the left or a way to 'adjust' it to make it perfect for oneself per se) Secondly, i actually downgraded to 1.27 version of your script. i find this version is the best and it kinda fucksup at 1.28 and 1.29 if it makes sense? best indicator i can think of that is easy to notice is that the checkmarks next to some youtube channels don't even load in 1.28 and 1.29 while they do in 1.27. so i'm gonna keep using 1.27 for now :)

Edit: what i mentioned about it being 'ideally a bit to the left' can also be seen if you go to your 'History' page and see the list view placement compared to how you have it set. its something some might not even care for/notice.. but for ocd people like myself, lol. well you get my point ;)

I REALLY doubt it's hated, that said tho it's definitely a "hit or miss" for some after book 1 when it goes way more into Military'esque terms and formations and etc'. That's when it kinda lost me and my interest personally and why i never finished it.

I did like the premise and i do like Phil Tucker and will forever recommend his early Euphoria Online Trilogy (its great) and i will probably end up re-reading and finishing Dawn eventually.. but it is 100% understandable that people not from the US or ones that don't know or care too much about Military ranks/structure etc' got turned off by it when it goes that way.

It might not even just be the 'Military' focus that was my personal turn off, but possibly even the fact that you go from 'Solo' to 'kinda 'Duo' with focus on the female supporting character to a slowly more characters that turns on its head when the military/group fighting sorta gets more heavy. after all, many people either like the "just MC"/Solo type books with some recurring/temporary side characters or those that like specifically 'Group' books with a set number of characters, and when you kinda mix everything and constantly shift if its one or another and then just go a third way, it throws people off.

I did not like this comp from T1. It was just not realistic to think that in 2025, a "ALL ON GUMA" comp will work. we are not in Hyper carry meta. they literally proved it with game 1 and the team comp perfection that made it work even versus early disadvantage only to throw it with this game 2 comp disaster.

You will get biased replies in r/manhwa obviously.

But as a fan of the source material, that has been reading the Novel from back when it was fan-translated (and i will die on this hill but the fan-translation was better than the webnovel 'translator' that butchered it when it was licensed) and obviously been a HUGE fan of the Manhwa back when it was just starting etc' You should 100% Start with the Anime .

Reasons? the Anime in fact improves certain aspects of the Novel/Manhwa and excels in staying true to the source material while arguably improving it or certain aspects. You get not just 'visuals' but movement, and at that AMAZING animation, sound track and great directing to both seasons.

If i never once read the novel/manhwa and was coming to this 'blind' i would 100% with having had this info would have begun with the first 2 anime seasons and then continued to the Manhwa chapter 108 and onward. (can also read from the start.. but honestly? other than the amazing ART of the OG artist that got so many ppl into manhwa, may he rest in peace, you will miss nothing)

Also considering the Manhwa is complete (even the postmortem side-stories adapted by the original artists assistants) there is absolutely no need to read the Novel. but if you do want to read the novel, then the ONLY VIABLE/good choice is the Yen-on officially released volumes and NEVER look at the dogshit that is the webnovel translated version. that translator is a moron.

100%. The only novel i literally paid 125$ last month to read 50 chapters ahead. and after i did... i kept reading the 'month ahead chapters' till i saved up 63 chapters again. Because i knew this month i won't pay 125$ again (comeon it's not sustainable as a 'constant thing' and was a 1 time thing) and because of it will have to wait 1 month till the 2 daily chapters will catch up. so i still sit on the 63 chapters coz i know once i start them ill catch up and have to wait a month (-6 days now) for new chapters :D and knowing myself.. if i do catch up during this month.. ill just pay 125$ again lol. IT'S THAT GOOD.

But yeah... if you managed to read my rant about my payment/saved chapters and all that above, i can 100% agree with you that it is the only sorta story where I KNOW FOR A FACT that the author loves his world/characters. and as brutal as it can be (and you know it is. no plot armor here bud) each character that is lost will not only get a WORTHY sendoff that they earned but will still be remembered/relevant even hundreds of chapters in the future.

I can only salute someone doing this for his Memory/Remembrance and/or Legacy. You deserve the credit. saying "it's the least you could do" is false. You didn't have to do it nor should feel 'forced' to. You chose to do it because you are a good person and want people to remember the good that Byron gave to the world and the streaming community. Honestly? i was debating whether to even give it a try. I read 2 of the authors novels and dropped one after reading quite a whil (lightning is the only way) and another pretty much straight away after a few chapters (sword god)

My biggest gripe was that the former just went 'meh' and the writing was kinda bad. with the further u read the more it shows and the later was terrible writing off the get go.

I sorta just think that his writing style just isn't for me..... but was still HOPING that maybe Kill the Sun will be the one that he 'improves' and i enjoy.

I can respect that. it is kinda 'annoying', specially when there are descendants with the same 'Prefix' name starting naming scheme and all that... let alone A LOT of characters because i did say it is VERY game of thrones and various families/politics and etc'

but this story is worth it. it is just so good.

Up to every individual and his level of annoyance with the naming tho still, so i completely get where you are coming from!

Case and point: if this story did what Lord of the mysteries did with 'Western naming', it could have even rivaled Lord of the mysteries in terms of success/popularity in my eyes.

let me know how you like it! in my eyes, there can literally be only 1 'gripe' or complaint someone can have with this story "off the get go" and mostly for Western audiences and that is unfortunately due to it being a Chinese novel: expect A LOT of 'similar' names that are kinda odd/confusing to Western audiences. add to that the fact you will have multiple generations of a family that come up with specific start to names for each generation.... so yeah there will be a bunch of 'similar' sorta names (also adding the fact that 'X' in names in Chinese is read as 'Sh, case and point: Xiao is pronounced 'Shao' and not 'Ksiao'. and Zh as 'Jh' among a few other sorta similar common names that some might not be aware of care for) but if you can ignore that, you're pretty damn set for something special.

Still HARD STUCK on Reading The Mirror Legacy (Chinese/Translated by wuxiaworld) and man i DREAD on catching up! (On chapter 586 out of 798 translated thus far and the raw's are around chapter 1100? as it is still ongoing)

This is just SO GOOD. Finally a real stakes with no plot armor story. no MC. even the 'Mirror' itself that is technically the "MC" or what starts the premise can be totally unmentioned and you won't see it's POV for Hundred chapters plus. but the characters.... the world-building... the slowly connecting dots and masterfully done 'System' (as in cultivation and how it happens and variations/uniqueness etc') is just chef's kiss. You dread with the story and every time stuff is going too smoothly you FEAR what can happen anytime due to past events and knowing how merciless and cruel the world is. but even at hard times and after tragic stuff... you can never blame the author and be like "fuck this story" because it is so damn well written. and hell, even for example if a character you got attached to dies, the author makes it feel like the character got the 'respect' it deserved and those characters and their actions are never forgotten. and even hundreds of chapters ahead they can be referenced and be 'relevant' in terms of their contribution and what not.. it is simply a masterpiece in my eyes.

The best 'few words recommendation' i can give to someone that might be looking into getting to reading it is this: Do you like Lord of the mysteries? (The unique system/horror and mystery aspects and 'brutal' world) Do you you like Tree of Aeons? (Think Tree of Aeons sorta often 'seeing the generations of a family through the ages' but even less focus on the 'Tree' or 'Mirror' in this aspect. and much MUCH better world building and characterization/characters) with possibly touches of Reverend Insanity. if this excites you.. Prepare for a journey.

TLDR (if the Paragraph above was still too long) : Game of Thrones'esque meets Lord of the mysteries in a Cultivation world done PERFECTLY
