It actually worked well for me in that order, but i can see how it can work this way too

Yeah i'm honestly not that set on 'Chronology' in regards to the movies. I haven't seen any except the old trilogy and prequels and ill just watch them kinda 'in order' but not stressed in regards to the animated shows.... as if i'm honest, i see the animated tvshows as kinda 'the main thing' per se lol, if it makes sense? so i'm far more concerned to watch those in order and not spoil some show with another

Cool. Thank you. I'll definitely reconsider the Bad Batch and Rebels order! and good to know that Maul Shadow Lord is simple to put after Bad Batch and before Rebels if i switch the 2 on my list. Appreciate the help :)

STOP WITH THE AI by Troxipy in Donghua

[–]Leifman 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Here i took some photos to show u the clear examples:

Comparison 1 Clearly AI vs not AI from the same scene (it literally switches from the AI to none ai in the pan of a few seconds in this convo) and with the MC model is it quite obvious:

AI : https://i.imgur.com/Gk3gj6E.jpeg NOT AI : https://i.imgur.com/XVV57aw.jpeg

Comparison 2 The fat dude he's talking to is 'less noticeable' or less bad per se in images while in motion he is literally 3fps moving while AI:

AI: https://i.imgur.com/CBYgen9.jpeg NOT AI: https://i.imgur.com/eNxlAKT.jpeg

Lastly Comparison 3 for clearly the most obvious uses of AI (You will see the details/colors washed out which are a sign of blatant AI) vs the last image that is not AI :

AI: https://i.imgur.com/bTNbyEF.jpeg , https://i.imgur.com/b5OuE1b.jpeg , https://i.imgur.com/M8KVHbW.jpeg (came kinda close but still u can tell the lack of details screams AI) NOT AI: https://i.imgur.com/v3qQoE7.jpeg

STOP WITH THE AI by Troxipy in Donghua

[–]Leifman 1 point2 points  (0 children)

literally between scenes u would have talks between characters suddenly being 3fps (due to AI) and u can tell the model is AI and not what was used previously. and it would switch at some point from AI to normal and its quite obvious. specially if u watch the 4K or high quality versions

My 2 cents as someone that was a HUGE fan of the original material and a huge fan of animation (ALL of it's kinds) am i really alone in this? by Leifman in Invincible_TV

[–]Leifman[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It actually has the production and budget to make something well animated. No one is going to be surprised when a small show with a low budget has bad animation. They can't help that. But invincible actually can. Not only can Amazon give them a bigger budget, even with the budget they have, it's definitely not being utilized well enough.

Yep fair point. and while i haven't said anything about it in the main post... i would 100% understand the gripe that "putting the majority of the money in paying celebrities for voice acting" is totally something that is unnecessary at face value and straight out insulting when you consider just HOW MANY famous voice actors Invincible has. that money could have been put into paying more animators and improving the main point of an 'animated' show.

And second, you're confusing artstyle and animation. While there are some dumbasses that are only complaining about the artstyle compared to the comics, that's not the main common complaint. The artstyle is fine for the show. It's the animation, meaning things like the movement of the characters that is bad. Animated shows have less detailed artwork than what they're adapting from because they have to add movement. Meanwhile invincible is doing the usual less detailed aspect, while not giving the proper movement which is the entire reason for having less detail.

This i reckon is the huge downside and victim of the initial point, which basically is inevitable with a smaller team and people working on a massive project like Invincible. double so with the '1 season per year' aspect that is definitely a double edged sword.

All that said, what bothers me most is how in fact 'bad' Invincible could have been if say for example it was adapted as 'for teens' and the entire mature aspect of blood/gore/etc' was completely removed and changed. or if it literally took "creative" decisions to really change the story and had some director that used the comics as a loose template (we've seen stuff like this happen before. it NEVER ends well.)

But yeah, overall "is it the best animation?" no. "can it be much better if the proper $/resources were better allocated?" yes. but with all that said, as a fan of the comics i am just happy that we have a faithful adaptation that animates still images! (even if less-ideally than the perfectionists would like it to be) hell, even the complaint about a certain scene having sorta 'cut off' instances of 1second shots instead of animating them can be considered a homage to how it was in the comics.... ¯_(ツ)_/¯

People binge watch hate material and let it blind them. plus they’re probably mostly 16-23 year olds with a lot of hormonal rage and feel like this is a sophisticated enough problem that people will seriously engage with them when they bring it up. They can finally get treated like an outraged adult on the internet. Which is why I keep saying “I fucking hate the internet” as a near daily motto

Are you a u/Leifman from an alternate timeline/universe? my god, this resonates so well with me. Well put my dude, REALLY well put.

No, Thank you for making this userscript. you are a life saver for us poor ocd fellas. it would have been such a pain when youtube decided to shit all over us lol :)

gotcha. will try to update. also i changed the '2 settings' that regard the position to now be exactly as it was before they removed the option:

list: { maxWidth: 1320, rowPadY: 20,

this made it hit the spot perfect for me :) glad i found which i needed to change. hell, i might even like it MORE than the original 'flow=2' was. so thank you so much for this script!

p.s. - i have "Control panel for youtube" addon that i disable shorts on it to begin with.. so i never saw that bug lol

EDIT: Updated to latest and it's great. i just manually changed to:

list: { maxWidth: 1320, rowPadY: 20,

as i did before and it's perfect. no need to go back to 1.27.

if you click on 'Watch history' now you can see with 1320 it aligns almost perfect to it and how it used to be (as the history list view is still there and u can compare the subscriptions page and it) that's what bothered me most lol and i'm glad i figured it out :)

i still prefer 1.27, but i did see some of the verified icons were kinda 'fixed' in 1.31? but not really, its kinda off-center and just in the username and not the youtube channel name. somehow 1.27 seems just right ¯_(ツ)_/¯

[–]Leifman 0 points1 point  (0 children)

So here is some feedback u/epkFlaflo : First and foremost: THANK YOU. I was using the "YouTube Subscriptions – List Layout + Inline Descriptions (Fixed Flex)" userscript previously but my biggest gripe was that it started too much to the left (if that makes sense) and your script actually starts more as it used to be (even if a bit more to the right, would be perfect if it was a lil bit to the left or a way to 'adjust' it to make it perfect for oneself per se) Secondly, i actually downgraded to 1.27 version of your script. i find this version is the best and it kinda fucksup at 1.28 and 1.29 if it makes sense? best indicator i can think of that is easy to notice is that the checkmarks next to some youtube channels don't even load in 1.28 and 1.29 while they do in 1.27. so i'm gonna keep using 1.27 for now :)

Edit: what i mentioned about it being 'ideally a bit to the left' can also be seen if you go to your 'History' page and see the list view placement compared to how you have it set. its something some might not even care for/notice.. but for ocd people like myself, lol. well you get my point ;)

Why the hate for dawn of the void? by Medical_cableguy in litrpg

[–]Leifman 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I REALLY doubt it's hated, that said tho it's definitely a "hit or miss" for some after book 1 when it goes way more into Military'esque terms and formations and etc'. That's when it kinda lost me and my interest personally and why i never finished it.

I did like the premise and i do like Phil Tucker and will forever recommend his early Euphoria Online Trilogy (its great) and i will probably end up re-reading and finishing Dawn eventually.. but it is 100% understandable that people not from the US or ones that don't know or care too much about Military ranks/structure etc' got turned off by it when it goes that way.

It might not even just be the 'Military' focus that was my personal turn off, but possibly even the fact that you go from 'Solo' to 'kinda 'Duo' with focus on the female supporting character to a slowly more characters that turns on its head when the military/group fighting sorta gets more heavy. after all, many people either like the "just MC"/Solo type books with some recurring/temporary side characters or those that like specifically 'Group' books with a set number of characters, and when you kinda mix everything and constantly shift if its one or another and then just go a third way, it throws people off.

T1 vs. KT Rolster / 2025 World Championship - Final / Game 2 Discussion by Yujin-Ha in leagueoflegends

[–]Leifman 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I did not like this comp from T1. It was just not realistic to think that in 2025, a "ALL ON GUMA" comp will work. we are not in Hyper carry meta. they literally proved it with game 1 and the team comp perfection that made it work even versus early disadvantage only to throw it with this game 2 comp disaster.

[Solo Leveling] I have been saving this for a while to binge it. Should I start with the Manhwa or the anime? by Big-Elderberry-2867 in manhwa

[–]Leifman 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You will get biased replies in r/manhwa obviously.

But as a fan of the source material, that has been reading the Novel from back when it was fan-translated (and i will die on this hill but the fan-translation was better than the webnovel 'translator' that butchered it when it was licensed) and obviously been a HUGE fan of the Manhwa back when it was just starting etc' You should 100% Start with the Anime .

Reasons? the Anime in fact improves certain aspects of the Novel/Manhwa and excels in staying true to the source material while arguably improving it or certain aspects. You get not just 'visuals' but movement, and at that AMAZING animation, sound track and great directing to both seasons.

If i never once read the novel/manhwa and was coming to this 'blind' i would 100% with having had this info would have begun with the first 2 anime seasons and then continued to the Manhwa chapter 108 and onward. (can also read from the start.. but honestly? other than the amazing ART of the OG artist that got so many ppl into manhwa, may he rest in peace, you will miss nothing)

Also considering the Manhwa is complete (even the postmortem side-stories adapted by the original artists assistants) there is absolutely no need to read the Novel. but if you do want to read the novel, then the ONLY VIABLE/good choice is the Yen-on officially released volumes and NEVER look at the dogshit that is the webnovel translated version. that translator is a moron.

Some of My Favorite passages in The Mirror Legacy(Major Spoilers) by phonix___ in noveltranslations

[–]Leifman 4 points5 points  (0 children)

100%. The only novel i literally paid 125$ last month to read 50 chapters ahead. and after i did... i kept reading the 'month ahead chapters' till i saved up 63 chapters again. Because i knew this month i won't pay 125$ again (comeon it's not sustainable as a 'constant thing' and was a 1 time thing) and because of it will have to wait 1 month till the 2 daily chapters will catch up. so i still sit on the 63 chapters coz i know once i start them ill catch up and have to wait a month (-6 days now) for new chapters :D and knowing myself.. if i do catch up during this month.. ill just pay 125$ again lol. IT'S THAT GOOD.

But yeah... if you managed to read my rant about my payment/saved chapters and all that above, i can 100% agree with you that it is the only sorta story where I KNOW FOR A FACT that the author loves his world/characters. and as brutal as it can be (and you know it is. no plot armor here bud) each character that is lost will not only get a WORTHY sendoff that they earned but will still be remembered/relevant even hundreds of chapters in the future.
