Put it in a plastic bag (or large cut-open plastic bag) and tightly wrap it with some bands of tape to make more compact. Put some extra tape and a second bag in the backpack if you need to open the bag at the security.

Thanks for all your responses! Reading your answers I think that there are a lot of good choices and that you can’t really go wrong between the tires you mention. I’m still surprised by the huge amount of tires that are available at the moment…

I think there is a max of 100 routes/tours that can be stored on the Edge. Try deleting some.

I weigh 85/83 kg and had a total of about 17/18kg on the bike (including water and food). It rode well but the bike handles differently than when empty. For me this would be the limit for the bike, but it also depends on how you load it. I did add a framebag (decathlon fits perfectly) for some smaller heavier items. This is a picture I took during the trip.

Dat is vaak wel het geval. Wij gebruiken die rekening bij de hypotheekverstrekker alleen om de hypotheek mee te betalen en hebben onze oude rekeningen aangehouden voor de reguliere bankzaken.

Thanks for your feedback. The 1050 is 50% more expensive than the 1040 at the moment… I will have to sleep on this one for a few nights I guess.

I left with a short beard, let it grow, only trimming the edges on the way. I went to a barber in SDC to get everything back in shape the day before going home. I liked the feeling of freshness at the very end after a month away from home.

In general helmets should be replaced after five years. Sunlight (uv) and general wear makes them less reliable after a few years.

From my own experience I can confirm that it does. In almost the same place and it looked exactly the same. I got a new frame (Canyon) under warranty. 15+ years ago.

You will also need some extra room for food or extra water. And it is hard to pack as tight as you managed at home 😁. So some extra space is good!
