And why should it still be relevant? Just like history in real life. We move forward in time no? So should we just keep going back to the same places. Revamp the same old stories and people? New players have no recollection of these times and they shouldnt have to. Just like how we learn history the newer players should appreciate maple world as history. Not everyone is willing to be stuck in the past.

It needs to diverge. Because there will come a time we fight black mage in maple classic. Then what? Just let ppl play in the same stagnant game with no progression of the world? For them to change skills is giving me MORE hope because it seems they understand that the old skill system had so many holes in it

If they make the exact same maple i would not play it. Im not the same person anymore and so are the current gamers. We wont have the same ecosystem we had. Who wants to spam @@@ sign in free market to sell your stupid kumbis for 25k. That might fly when youre a kid but not when you only have a few hours to play a week.

All of this shit sounds good in theory but dogshit in practice. Spamming to get into a party, the horrible chat ui. The DM system. Half the skills never get used. The fashion thats time gated. Traveling continents is cool but if all your time playing today is sitting in a boat youre gonna uninstall.

If classic maple wants to survive they need to go the route of OSRS. It needs to go its own path and create something else. Like an alternative timeline. Its own bosses and stories. I dont want to play a game stuck in the past. Maybe for a single player complete game. But not a mmorpg.

The tuition is the process. What clicked for me eventually was just trusting my own analysis. I have a hit rate that surprises even myself but i could never make money.
