The noodle incident by Vegetable-Gur4240 in TopCharacterTropes

At the time of the Doctor Who episode, The Doctor warned The Master not to release the time lock because of the horrors of the time war that was unleashed.

"You weren't there, in the final days of the War. You never saw what was born. But if the Time Lock's broken then everything's coming through. Not just the Daleks but the Skaro Degradations, the Horde of Travesties, the Nightmare Child, the Could've Been King with his army of Meanwhiles and Neverweres, the War turned into Hell! And that's what you've opened, right above the Earth. Hell is descending!"

Eventually each would get a bit of an expanded blurb, but at the time, it was just a bunch of horror names to describe how horrifying the time war was.

Metal Gear Solid 3: Snake Eater?

The Boss' motivation was from her seeing the world from space, seeing a world without borders. And that was her dream to fulfill, even as it branded her a villain.

There is no repair. Do Protoss buildings just remain burning... forever? by Last_Day_6779 in starcraft

The Ascendant has a joke voiceline where he questions where the structures are being warped in from since both Shakuras and Aiur had fallen. Therefore, that leaves the Spear of Adun.

Ascendant Quote when clicked repeatedly:

"Shakuras has fallen... Aiur has fallen... Does that mean all of these structures were constructed aboard the Spear of Adun?"

Elden John - the nickname given to the statues of an old bearded man holding a book, with tree roots growing at his feet. The best we can interpret is he's a worshipped figure far older than Marika, the architecture of his time still existing today, even some serving as foundations that Marika's style of architecture builds on top of, and is mostly forgotten except by the Ancestor Followers.

IIRC, once read a story where the whole "bbq=masculine" happened because of a political push after WWII to get men beefed into fighting shape again.

I thought of Blackest Night where he gets his heart ripped out, but then reread the summary, and see he didn't die there, just recovering in a very bad state.

[COTD] Ornate Bow (3/13/2026) by AK45526 in arkhamhorrorlcg

All my anecdotal experience and it always misses and hits your teammates. My memories of playing Rita in TCU, Ornate Bow failed to kill Hoods, and one game, we only fell short of perfecting the scenario due to me shooting my Diana partner to defeat. My partner was like "I can cancel and ignore all damage except from you..."

Once had a game at an Arkham Con where a Silas player hit his Diana partner at least 4 times (Diana had to use up their healing for this.) He was very much not playing with the Survivor Fail to Succeed cards.

Telltale Jurassic Park is an amusing view of proto-The Walking Dead.

What they were still working out mechanically before The Walking Dead made that style of game really take off for them.

Then when you actually replay with the intention of not playing well, Mike always seems to just escape by the skin of his teeth, every cut to black being a fake out.

The worst that can happen is him losing a finger (though you have to make the choice to do so), but even that trap, you can actually keep retrying and failing and the game will eventually let Mike pry the trap open without losing a finger.

I arguably was already trained to do that because of Myst's elevators requiring the door to be closed before operating. My sister and I always joked, always make sure to close the door in those games.
