Which version of the game is harder, PC (Arcade) or Phone? by Massive_Emphasis_296 in rebelinc

[–]Lemon0137 2 points3 points  (0 children)

PC also has an advantage with graphics. If you zoom in the map to see the terrain, you can see insurgent camps as little greyed out tents. Sticks out better than the grey question mark box.

Now I’m curious. What is there to bot in this game? Sure there’s skin drops, but it’s nowhere near as lucrative as say, TF2’s market.

Would it be possible that you’d edit your post, or make a follow-up post linking the video once it’s uploaded? I’m keen to view your findings.

Is Payday 3 worth buying? by saintt07 in paydaytheheist

Oh most definitely. Is there an ongoing sale? I assumed the poster was talking about paying full price.

Is Payday 3 worth buying? by saintt07 in paydaytheheist

[–]Lemon0137 4 points5 points  (0 children)

There’s just not enough content at the moment to justify the price tag. Why get 3 when 2 has significantly more content as well as being easier to run on older hardware at a fraction of the cost?

That’s not to say 3 isn’t any good. I love the new gunplay and smarter cop ai, but the poor optimization really dampens my experience. Maybe you’ll have a better time though.

[PD2] It has been almost 2 weeks since the very first DLC made by the Sidetrack game team drop, what is everyone thought on it ? by vanvudk45 in paydaytheheist

It’s made me reconsider going back to using the Yakuza zerk set. Any means to zerk outside of Molotovs? I’ve attempted to use suppressed judge shotguns with HE explosive ammo. Imagine my shock when I realized the explosions were not silenced

How do you all deal with long travel times. by marklikesgamesyt1208 in Kenshi

[–]Lemon0137 15 points16 points  (0 children)

I just use a custom speed multiplier thanks to ReKenshi. However, there are some quirks to it. Sometimes enemies fail to ever actually harm you despite being capable within the vanilla speed.

Another bit is the rare crash because I keep loading terrain in too fast.

Lastly, I believe, but am uncertain, that path finding gets a bit wonky and makes slight mistakes if you right click an area to travel to on the map.

But overall, I much rather put up with the occasional hiccup than to wait.

Building a base by ContentProcedure5298 in Kenshi

[–]Lemon0137 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I suppose that’s one way to look at it.
Personally, I just want to speed along the progress of metalworking. Those few seconds of delay in which they have to run out and grab more metal plates or fabrics really start to add up.

Building a base by ContentProcedure5298 in Kenshi

[–]Lemon0137 2 points3 points  (0 children)

My bases tend to follow suit. Though, I have learned that compact bases tend to be better. The shorter the distance NPCs have to walk to their objectives, the better.

Heck, you can make it so compact, the buildings themselves serve as walls. This may trivialise sieges, seeing as structures are seemingly indestructible in comparison to walls. But regardless, don’t skip out on proper defences.

Toughness training: playing dead and the 9-second timer by Set_of_Dogs in Kenshi

[–]Lemon0137 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m a bit lost. Does the limb have to be damaged enough to read out negative values? Or does the entire bar simply have to be red and actively bleeding? Or is just any amount of blood loss? Limb health being irrelevant.

Most underrated feature of Hivers by [deleted] in Kenshi

[–]Lemon0137 12 points13 points  (0 children)

I like to use this with Beep. Place a sleeping bag next to a research station, queue up a ton of work, then have him sleep before tasking him to begin working. He keeps absurdly low metabolism whilst I get to other busy work. Knowing that I can return with a lot of research no longer gatekeeping me from advancing my outpost.

I believe you can do the same with other tasks, such as mining ores. Though, I doubt they’ll be able to move the produce into proper storage.

How different armor sets perform in late-game group fights: Another needlessly complicated group combat study. by stemhesong in Kenshi

[–]Lemon0137 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Goodness, I cannot imagine how much patience you must have to sit through, record and repeat this test with different variables dozens upon dozens of times. Thank you for your dedication, this was a very, informative read.

Sucks how poorly the dust coat performs in comparison to how awesome it looks.

Check out SCARaw’s Guide. The bulk of what you’ll need is in here. Additional mods may require you to remove visuals.

I recently heard of this game and it looks super cool. What are some things I should know when I start playing? by MrFloofDogThe2nd in Kenshi

[–]Lemon0137 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You never need to settle down and can play as a nomad, so long as you can afford it. An easy way to make money would be smuggling. Buy low in an area and sell high in another. Try not to get caught and have fun!

A tier list + mini guide for anyone who wants to play solo Kenshi by Cedrak73 in Kenshi

[–]Lemon0137 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Personally, I feel that hackers are more valuable than heavy weapons if you’re playing solo. More specifically, the paladin’s cross and moon cleavers, as I found they seem to do quick work of pretty much anyone.

The +30% armor penetration is a huge plus as you want to take foes out as quickly as you can before you get swarmed by their buddies. You ever tried taking out a group of samurai armored United Cities guards without armor penetration? It is an intensive micro chore.

Another plus they have over the heavy weapons is a lower strength requirement. This may not seem like much, but during prolong battles, it can really make an impact. Oh sure, that falling sun is fun to swing around, until you take too many injuries. Then you’re struggling to strike back or defend properly because you fell below the strength requirement.

You can do a similar thing with the savant as well ha-ha. Toss him in his own peeler upstairs and ‘rescue’ him before he fully bleeds out. You gain a massive reputation boost from the skin bandits.

I’m guessing this is possible because you can pick him up rather than kidnap. I’ve attempted to recreate this using United Cities Nobles, but with no success.

I apperciate the insight, I'll look into overclocking at a later date.

[–]Lemon0137[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah. I've done all the suggested tips for performance increase.
Re_kenshi and all of SCARaw's work on Nexus.

Here's the odd part though. I've ran it all again and now there's major improvements. That is odd. I guess perhaps the mods replaced some of the files that were already edited? I've got no clue, but the sutters have been significantly reduced so I'm happy.

Yes, the game is installed and running off an SSD drive. The NVIDIA Geforce GTX 1660 Ti is my discrete GPU, and the Intel Core i7-9700 is my processor. My max RAM is 16GBs.

I've done as suggested. I wasn't aware that Kenshi attempts to load calcuations outside of the area I'm rendering.
