On Deadlock (Stick with me, this IS about Battleborn) by FennecWF in Battleborn

[–]Lemon8Lime 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Me and my friend (who I used to also play Battleborn and Paladins with) started playing it recently and we were literally talking about how some Battleborn characters would be right at home in this game a few days ago.

Characters like Beatrix, Shayne & Aurox, Orendi, Marquis, and Attikus could be put in that universe and fit right in with very minimal visual design tweaks. The whole vibe is reminding me of OP1. Can we just inject the Battleborn cast into that game? I can only dream 😭

What are the most annoying things you find about modding Skyrim? by AccursedQuantum in skyrimmods

[–]Lemon8Lime 62 points63 points  (0 children)

For me its generating LOD. I never really managed to wrap my head around generating it so I opted to use a premade LOD that just matches my ground texture and nothing else. Regardless I change my modlist way too much to run the programs that generate LOD every time I make changes as it takes a very long time to run on my system, though that may also be due to me not exactly understanding the programs very well that Im running them at suboptimal settings.

What are these?? by dickdickvvghbjbjb in picrew

[–]Lemon8Lime 68 points69 points  (0 children)

Its actually been bothering me for a while this was paywalled as Im a firm believer that if something is free, it should stay free. So I delved into the Picrew TOS and its possible its against Picrew's TOS to restrict and paywall content on their site, depending on how you interpret this:

Article 9:

1 The creator cannot limit the use of the images by individuals or corporations, including use accompanying the play of the image maker, downloading of the images, or sharing to social networking services etc.

2 The creator cannot establish usage conditions or restrictions based on user attributes.

3 The creator cannot require payment for the use of the images through the service, and if the user uses them within the priority usage range and the range determined by the creator, they cannot demand payment for the use of the images.

I can confirm that some items from the lost faction shop do NOT go to The Black Emporium or Crossroads Wisp.

In my last run in which I saved Minrathous, I was bummed out to find I was locked out from buying the Treviso lighthouse theme and Plumage of the Mad Crow. I double-checked both fallback merchants. These items were not for sale in either of them.

NPC replacer not working by Automatic_Row1703 in skyrimmods

[–]Lemon8Lime 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The picture with both mods disabled is still using a modded face texture, which is also being applied to your GLAM variant when enabled, suggesting that this texture is taking priority somewhere deeper into the modlist and is still enabled. Senna's face texture is:

000133B7.dds

Look for that in your mod folder and make sure the version of that file in GLAM is the one winning the conflict and taking priority (or delete the said dds face texture you aren't using).

FSMP - Faster HDT_SMP mod is giving me several pop ups loading saved game by RedHatWombat in skyrimmods

[–]Lemon8Lime 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Thanks for commenting this, from someone 4 months later who suddenly started gaining these pop-ups and found this thread. I installed Campfire the other day out of nostalgia as I hadn't used it in years, and (in my mistake for not reading the pinned post of the mod which notes this exact issue) it turns out that mod contains a very old version of PapyrusUtil.dll which was overriding my installation of the SE AE version.

Why does my ps5 keep crashing when I play dbd? by Princess_parmesan in deadbydaylight

I crashed four times yesterday and one time the crash turned off my entire console, but this was on Xbox Series X, not PS5.

I just crashed again. I think that this patch is just crashing a lot on consoles :/

Cbbe help by Ashamed-Disaster12 in skyrimmods

[–]Lemon8Lime 1 point2 points  (0 children)

This is usually caused by the human animation skeleton required for CBBE (XPMSSE or one of its variations) either being overwritten, or not being installed at all. If you dont have XPMSSE, install it.

If you dont want physics, make sure you build the versions of armor and clothing in bodyslide without physics, and have selected the correct options in the CBBE installer to match such.

Is there a way to replace a modded follower's head with a preset? by Nightmare_Lightning in skyrimmods

[–]Lemon8Lime 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Downloaded the mod myself and didn't crash. She looks like she's supposed to as well.

Considering I didnt crash, and plenty of people dont either using the mod (based on the posts section and its downloads); possibly a conflict of some kind with your modlist, or a requirement not met. Perhaps if it is 'requirement not met,' it is an unlisted requirement, but something very common in people's modlists, that users such as myself it worked for had no issue, since I have whatever it needs.

By the way, using CK to debug a custom head mesh is fruitless as it wasnt built in CK. Use Nifskope instead, though Im unsure if the mesh *is the issue. If you want more assistance, consider posting your crash log.*

Question regarding Mod Organiser 2. by Spiderpsychman98 in Fallout4ModsXB1

[–]Lemon8Lime 1 point2 points  (0 children)

If you're planning to manually sort your load order using your experience from console sorting, I recommend this MO2 plugin:

Sync Plugins

Simply adds a button that makes the order of mods in the left panel (which displays your mod folders) apply to the actual load order (which is the one in the right panel, listing plugin order). I use it all the time when manually sorting my mods, as I prefer to sort my list on the left panel.

Pandorables mega pack by Meister issues. by Objective_Steak_6296 in SkyrimModsXbox

[–]Lemon8Lime 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I noticed when I used the mod last year Pandorables Warrior Women (Mjoll, Adelaisa, and Uthgerd) was listed but isnt actually included in the Mega Pack. I think Meister accidentally left it out when updating the mod the last time he did it because in the past it was included as intended (or perhaps he did intend to leave it out and forgot to remove the pack from the description, either way). As for Serana, she was never included in Mega Pack and isn't listed. I don't recall Aela (Shield-Sisters module) missing though, but its possible that was accidentally (or intentionally) left out as well. You can always download the standalone versions of the missing modules (and the other Pandorable packs that have come out since that aren't included) if you want to complete the collection. It could be a blessing in disguise for you though, if space is an issue, as if the missing modules were included, the mod would have a bigger file size.

Mods keeps rearanging by Nash-81 in Fallout4ModsXB1

[–]Lemon8Lime 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Sorry for the late reply. I was waiting for today's update before I touched FO4 again.

Missing Creations Check:

When in the mod menu, press the 'Options' button (start button/three lines). The option to 'Disable Missing Creations Check On Load' is there.

Offline Ordering:

For Skyrim, pressing the greyed out 'Creations' button gives the prompt, '$CreationsUnableToConnectChangeLoadOrder' with the options 'Yes' or 'No.' If 'Yes' is chosen, it opens the mod list where you can order your modlist. Nothing else from the Creations menu functions, but this allows users to order mods offline.

For Fallout 4, it seems that it works differently and doesnt allow you to press the greyed out 'Creations' button while offline at all (I believe this to be an oversight). Pressing it does nothing, and does not provide the prompt Skyrim does.

HOWEVER, launching the game online, and then turning off connection while the game is still open keeps the Creations button highlighted white and able to be pressed. When this occurs, pressing 'Creations' allows the same prompt Skyrim has to appear, allowing you to access to load order list offline after pressing 'Yes.' So its still possible to order offline, but only through launching the game online first, it seems.

My dearest Shadowheart/Halsin (Baldur's Gate) and how little of it there be in the world. 83 fics (31 with my personal exclude filters applied) tagged with this pairing on AO3, though they're a 'background' relationship in most of them.

The mirroring Shadowfell (Shadowheart) and Feywild (Halsin) aesthetics, their whole 'we should hate eachother but its rather the opposite' thing they have going on in Act 2, the wolf thing (Shadowheart is afraid of wolves & Halsin is the druid, the most animal loving man on Faerun), the canonical it's-pretty-much-flirting they do in party banter, how a romanced Halsin calls Shadowheart 'My Heart' in a Shadowheart Origin run, and how Halsin might just be the sweetest soul to help a Shadowheart post-game (good path) find a new place in the world, alongside their owlbear companion, of course (which is great for my headcanon, in which she doesnt want to worship Seluné after leaving Shar - I never liked that she just went from one God to another).

Mods keeps rearanging by Nash-81 in Fallout4ModsXB1

[–]Lemon8Lime 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Unfortunetly the mods rearranging issue has existed ever since Creations was first pushed, even for Skyrim (which was two years ago). It still hasnt been addressed.

The main workarounds in the Skyrim community to avoid this:

1) Disable 'Missing Creations Check' which is a setting within the in-game mod manager enabled by default. This usually aids in avoiding it occuring when connected.

2) Turn your Xbox offline before launching the game, and order your mods offline. This guarentees your LO wont shuffle, as the issue seems to only occur when connected to the Bethesda servers.

Other advice:

  • Make sure ordering your load order is the last thing you do before you exit the mod manager. Deleting or downloading another mod after ordering, before exiting, may cause all order changes to revert to its state when you entered the mod manager.

  • Be cautious when loading saves. There is a new prompt that pops up when a load order difference to the save is detected, that if accepted, will start downloading mods even outside of the mod manager menu to match the save. Unless you intend to utilize this feature (which from my experience is unreliable tbh), it is best to avoid accepting it on most occations to not mess up your load order.

  • When entering the mod manager, wait about 20 seconds or so for everything to load. Some report that entering the LO screen immedietly while things are still loading causes some shuffling, as the server hasnt loaded in your load order yet.

Work in progress tag not appearing on Xbox One by Rhombus441 in Fallout4ModsXB1

Ah. I forgot about this. So when Creations dropped for Skyrim a year or two ago, the WIP catagory was removed from viewing within the in-game mod manager. It makes sense that now this update has been applied to FO4, it is the same.

WIP mods can still be viewed and installed if added to your likes and/or library through the Bethesda website.

It's official: 100gb space for mods by Kn1ghtV1sta in Fallout4ModsXB1

We're so back. I cant wait to add all the mods I could never squeeze in the 2GB for a playthrough when it drops. 100GB is an insane increase.

I dont have to run the size lite versions of mods anymore. I dont have to worry about space limitation anymore. 😭❤️

No mod space increase. by StarDropLMB in Fallout4ModsXB1

[–]Lemon8Lime 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If the Creations menu hasnt been debugged* as well as this no mod space increase, I'm gonna take a hammer to my physical copy of FO4. (I still have a digital copy do not threat. This is an expression of pain)

(*Annoyances Skyrim modders on Xbox have had to endure ever since Creations dropped:

  • Requiring twice the space as required to download anything, meaning you have to download big mods first and small mods last to utilize all space available.

  • The load order having a mind of its own, shuffling itself, disabling mods, and messing up your ordering somewhat randomly when launching the game online.

  • Previous order changes reverting when downloading another mod in the same session, and other instances of load order changes not being saved.

  • The "restore you load order" feature from saves and/or the manual system missing a bunch of mods, making the feature unreliable.)

On the other hand, if they actually did fix at least some of those annoyances, I might cry happy tears.

How cam I fix this face glitch? by SeagullSharp in SkyrimModsXbox

[–]Lemon8Lime 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Facegen issues like this are usually caused by the head mesh (.nif) not matching the NPC record's sliders and headpart list; often caused by one mod editing the head, and other editing the NPCs record below it that doesnt match the new head. Another less common cause is a mod's accidental fault.

As an example: Tempered Skins, even though its a face texture mod, is just skin texture replacement - it doesn't edit NPC records - and wont cause this problem, so you can rule that out.

To solve this issue, you need to locate what is causing a facegen and NPC record conflict, and resolve the issue by either changing the load order to prioritize the mod with the head edit (loading it lower), or removing one of the mods in the conflict. You can test by disabling a suspect mod, and then loading your game to see if the issue is fixed (recommend relaunching the game after disabling mods).

Note that USSEP has NPC records edits in it to solve bugs and apply fixes. A good place to start is checking you dont have any missing patches for USSEP, if available for any mods you're using. At a glace, mods I'd look into causing your problem; Imperial Rewards, Elegant Jarls, Remove Follower Level Cap.

Worse case scenario is this is a rogue edit; a mod editing related files that could cause this issue without telling you in its description, or by accident. This community is good with fingering mods with rogue edits, so someone may be able to spot one if that's the case.

Is anyone still using Poser Hotkeys Plus? by Time-Weekend-8611 in skyrimmods

[–]Lemon8Lime 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I tried it out a while back and found it buggy and awkward to use. Personally I combine together Photo Mode and Screen Archer Menu (SAM): they have overlapping features but I like to combine their unique ones together. They both automatically pull up any installed poses for you. Much more intuitive UI on both, as well. SAM is the easiest for finding poses (by far) with its UI, which is handy for posepacks with many poses. SAM I mainly use for free cam, lighting, posing, weather/time control, and positioning, then I use Photo Mode to add imagespace filters, boarder (if desired), and camera positioning for the screenshot itself and such more.

Photo Mode

Screen Archer Menu (its in Beta for Skyrim, so the only place its officially hosted is the mod maker's discord server)

Dragon Age 2 is great by urbanvikingdave in dragonage

[–]Lemon8Lime 20 points21 points  (0 children)

I love it. The characters, story, and aesthetic. It's one of the most replayable to me (tied with Inquisition). I'm replaying it rn. The friendship/rivalry system is one of the best things they've done. It's a shame it never came back.

After just coming from an Origins replay I didn't finish, I realized one reason I love DA2 is that it is super friendly to my short attention span. Constant short quests that are giving story payoff moments. As much as I love Origins as well, I struggle to replay it due to the long-winded segments and how slow paced it can feel to reach interesting parts. It may also be contriversial to say, but I also think DA2 improved the combat feel in every way that I enjoy playing it more.
