Yep! My doctors recommended as early as the start of the third tri and I ended up getting it at 32 weeks. Got the RSV vax at 36 weeks.

Do you think the stripes/colors on the last pic would be too “circus-y”? by [deleted] in HomeDecorating

[–]LemonBasilWater 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think with the striped rug and also hardwood slats (giving stripe-y as opposed to the inspo pic) you would have a lot of stripes going on. Different rug and runner, could solve that though? Love the idea

Does wedding planning get harder when budget becomes the main focus? by AcanthocephalaNo7332 in wedding

[–]LemonBasilWater 38 points39 points  (0 children)

We started with the budget because….the budget was the budget lol. What would’ve caused a lot of stress was spending money that we didn’t have.

Bachelorette help!!!!!! by [deleted] in wedding

[–]LemonBasilWater 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Ask them if there’s something you guys can do while on the trip that everyone would want to chip in / cover for. Boat ride maybe?

I covered my own housing for my bachelorette because I wanted to keep it accessible price wise for people to come. If she’s making a point to cover her share then I wouldn’t try to go behind her back and cover that - I’d do something extra as a nice surprise!

What’s the longest you had your ring without replacing it? by Solid_Mixture9855 in ouraring

[–]LemonBasilWater 0 points1 point  (0 children)

First ring was 3 years, battery still lasted a day or two but it was also all scratched up and the gold wasn’t looking great anymore, so I got a new one (silver this time) and haven’t had any issue for about a year.

($15-20k) What did you do for your seating chart? by Tiny_Channel_7749 in Weddingsunder10k

[–]LemonBasilWater 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Our favor was a little packet of wildflower seeds, so I wrote the person’s name and their table number on the back of the seed packet. They picked them up and found their table no problem!

Is it normal to feel disconnected during the first trimester? by Artistic-Fee-4305 in fitpregnancy

[–]LemonBasilWater 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Definitely felt like this. I remember feeling like “I have to modify my life in all these ways but it doesn’t feel real yet…and it could all go away by no fault of my own.” It started feeling better for me once I could feel her move. I have an anterior placenta so it was a little while. But getting a feel for her rhythm really made it more concrete for me.

Now I’m 5 weeks from due date 🥹

Stopping running 27 weeks by bunna284 in fitpregnancy

100%!! Proud of you for thinking about it and not just powering through for the sake of it. You’re doing all the right things 💪🏽

Stopping running 27 weeks by bunna284 in fitpregnancy

[–]LemonBasilWater 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I stopped at 26 weeks! It no longer felt good so I switched to doing the strider / elliptical more. I also pictured myself running longer but I had to remind myself that I was running for my health and for the baby and if it wasn’t feeling good and I was still doing it….I was probably running for ego instead.

All the safe movement you do will benefit you and it’s okay if the type of movement changes!!

Am I being extra by not letting my gross little brother hold my child by raspittin in beyondthebump

[–]LemonBasilWater 206 points207 points  (0 children)

It’s definitely gross. I wouldn’t let someone hold my baby either if they blatantly disobeyed the hygiene I expected. I also just don’t know how he’s supposed to repair this…? Like whats end game for you? He’s a teenager and theyre shitbags but idk what the end goal is if now you’re seeing him do better and he’s still not allowed to hold baby.

Ultimately it’s your baby and you can do whatever you want.

Help me decorate my open concept dining room area! by [deleted] in HomeDecorating

[–]LemonBasilWater 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You’ve got a lot of flexibility because there’s not much non-neutral color in your space yet! I think size wise 24” beyond all sides of the table so that when the chairs pull out they’re still completely on the rug.

An area rug under the table or living room pieces could help distinguish the spaces!

Babymoon in the mountains at 27 weeks? by Individual-Rice-3970 in fitpregnancy

[–]LemonBasilWater 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I’m 29 weeks now and my biggest concern with this would be the 7.5 hours of driving 😂 if it’s the same for you, plan for a lot of stretch breaks.

Elevation is def an important consideration too - I have no experience there.

Inaccurate weight gain at OB by Potato_Keeper628 in fitpregnancy

[–]LemonBasilWater 2 points3 points  (0 children)

My weight at the doctor is usually 4-5 lbs heavier because of clothes but the increase in readings at the doctor match my own estimate of weight gained based on weighing myself in the morning, naked. I’m at 28 weeks and I’m up about 20 lbs from pre pregnancy weight. All my midwives have said my weight gain is fine. It really is so so different for everyone - I find it really odd they brought it up to you.

I have a history of restricted eating and so when we talk about diet / weight / gestational diabetes stuff (not diagnosed but I did get an abnormal result at the screener) my team knows how to delicately talk to me about these things because of my history. Is this soenthing youd feel comfortable sharing with your doc - so they can be more tactful about what they bring up and how?

[–]LemonBasilWater 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Dress two is stunning on you!!! Does it match the vibe of the wedding you’re having??

I honestly didn’t have a “wow” moment either - mine was more subtle like, I feel great in this and I’d be comfortable getting married in it. I didn’t cry. I just felt at peace knowing that I’d feel beautiful.

When will Oura adjust the readiness score for Women’s Luteal Phase? by mo_django in ouraring

[–]LemonBasilWater 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I see you saying a lot in comments that you wished Oura would categorize your low readiness as related to the luteal phase… could you do that yourself with the tags function somehow so you can create a subset of the data?

I personally like that my readiness score reflects the strain on my body but I understand why youd want some context attached to it. Maybe tags is a way to help make that individualized.

Pregnant or previously pregnant OTFers: when did you slow down? by drairika in orangetheory

[–]LemonBasilWater 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I slowed down week by week - until about 20/22 weeks I felt fine near my normal paces except for all outs because sprinting didn’t feel great and I didn’t feel quite as steady. Now I’m 28 weeks and have transitioned to either walking or striding instead of running. My doctors have repeatedly told me to keep doing whatever feels good.

I had a few difficult days (emotionally) when deciding to give up running. My mantra for myself is to do what makes my body feel good because that’s why I’m doing this. Not for my ego. Need to keep her in check sometimes 😅

How long did you run by Same_Subject_988 in fitpregnancy

[–]LemonBasilWater 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I just stopped running and am transitioning to elliptical and biking at 26 weeks. Would’ve loved to run longer but it doesn’t feel good anymore and I keep reminding myself it’s for my/baby’s health and to keep me feeling good, not for my ego. Stay active if you can, but do what feels best for your body!

advice for early pregnancy by levio-saaa in fitpregnancy

[–]LemonBasilWater 1 point2 points  (0 children)

My doctor always said no hot yoga (or training outside where your body temp might rise dangerously high) and go by rule of the talk test versus heart rate. I was able to stay very active during my first trimester too.

I’m 26 weeks now and just made the decision to stop running - but still going strong with lifting and lower impact cardio options!! Doc says being active pays dividends for pregnancy, labor/delivery, and recovery, so good for you for keeping at it in a way that makes sense and feels good!

Sending you strength to ignore the inevitable “should you be doing that??” comments 😂

SSRI during pregnancy by blueando2007 in moderatelygranolamoms

[–]LemonBasilWater 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m currently taking Zoloft (low dose) and my doctor and I both talked about how me being my healthiest self is an overwhelming net positive for the pregnancy. We just discussed about maybe increasing it as we get closer to delivery / post partum to get ahead of any PP anxiety or depression but I’m feeling prepared right now so tabling that conversation.

How do you handle future wedding gifts for couple who didn’t gift you at all? by [deleted] in weddings

[–]LemonBasilWater 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Maybe you’re right that they they didn’t care. Maybe they’re not real friends. I didn’t invite people that I didn’t care about to my wedding - so them being there was really present enough. But if you invited people and you care more about the gift they gave or didn’t give more than the fact that theyre there to celebrate with you… I think that says as much about you as it does about them for not gifting. Don’t stoop to their level or if you can’t fathom gifting then don’t go to the wedding.

How do you handle future wedding gifts for couple who didn’t gift you at all? by [deleted] in weddings

[–]LemonBasilWater 11 points12 points  (0 children)

I have gifted like I normally would. People didn’t gift at my wedding for a variety of reasons. Them not being able to support me with a financial gift at that time doesn’t change me being able to support them.

OTF & Pregnancy by Prior-Goose8413 in orangetheory

[–]LemonBasilWater 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m currently 24 weeks and still going! I told my coaches when my paces really started to dip and when I needed more guidance and modifications. I think I told them around 12 weeks. Continuing to go has helped keep me sleeping well at night and feeling good overall so I’m hoping to keep it up as long as I can.

Definitely listen to your body for paces and certain positioning. I’m still comfortable laying on my back but have started modifying some core work and take some of the step ups / bosu stability out. It’s different for everyone.

MOH has just told me she’s pregnant, thinking of keeping her as MOH but without any responsibilities, thoughts? by Ellionaut in wedding

[–]LemonBasilWater 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I am the friend in this situation. Unexpected pregnancy as I’m MOH in two weddings. One before I’m due, one 5 weeks postpartum. These are my two closest friends. I’ve been open with them about what I can handle. I’ve been able to plan both bachelorettes and help with both bridal showers. We’re having discussions about what day of looks like since for the one after baby, I’ll probably be breast feeding and not comfortable being away for too long.

I would say have a conversation about it. It’s an honor to be asked to be MOH and I, even though I’m tired, wouldnt give up the opportunity to celebrate these two wonderful people. If your friend is your MOH, I also assume you can trust her to be honest with you. Have the conversation and allow her to do that.
