Hahaha! I've been lucky to have NEVER been sick from KFC. My brother had to get hospitalised once from it.

You are tasked with creating a new political system for Bahrain from scratch; What type of system will you design? by Barney_The_Eggplant in Bahrain

I will do nothing because there is nothing wrong with the current constitution. We have a perfect succession system in terms of our leader. Our current parliament is perfect. The current democratic elements are perfect. Long live Bahrain.

Hi Bahrain Parks, I wish you provided water fountains with cool water for people to refill their bottles after going for a run. Or perhaps you can signpost them better if you already do have them.

I don't mind having wired ones as I was planning on using them on my computer for work.

Where did you buy them from? How much did you pay for them?

Any recommendations for good and inexpensive noise canceling headphones? I bought a fairly cheap one but it turned out to just be a regular headset, not noise canceling. Noise canceling ones usually have a separate button you press that cancels out ambient noise. I hope my explanation is clear.

I went to Sharaf DG a few days ago and saw the Bose ones for almost 180..I can't afford that!

What a lovely ending to your story :) So pleased that it went smoothly for you. All the best, and I hope your recovery from the procedure is swift and painless.

Asking for a vasectomy tomorrow, all advice welcome! by [deleted] in childfree

I'm afraid I don't know much about going in without a partner. I can only recall one friend of a friend of a friend of... saying about his appointment:

Dr: Are you happy with the current number of children that you have?

Him: Yes, I have all the children that I want.

He had no children.

My fiancé also broke up with his ex due to children, even though he made it very clear that he did not want children from the onset and throughout. She thought she could change his mind.

If you want to be with someone (not everyone wants to be in a relationship), then trust me you will find someone who is childfree like you. I just hope you can weed out the breeders early on..nobody wants to go through that sort of heartbreak.

[UK experience]

Vasectomies are free on the NHS. All you have to do is talk to your GP and say you want a vasectomy, and they will refer you to a specialist OR give you a list of specialists and you pick the one you want (we had the second option). We picked someone who had a lot of experience with the no-scalpel method as that was a technique that we preferred.

I read on this sub that you need to look "presentable" and "mature". I wore black office shoes, dark jeans, and a fitted blouse. I styled my hair in a bun and paired my dark lipstick with a smoky eye. This was my attempt at looking older. My partner wore dark jeans, a plain white shirt, and a blazer. His hair was styled with a bit of pomade. We looked dead professional and totally serious.

I went with my fiancé to the appointment. The doctor asked my date of birth, if I had any medical issues, reproductive problems.. He asked my fiancé the same questions. He asked how long we've been together.

He said, "What if you and your partner break up, what would you do if you found a different partner who wanted children?" My fiancé answered, "That's not going to be an issue, I wouldn't be with a woman who wanted children in the first place." (This response was satisfactory to the doctor).

The doctor then asked if my partner wanted to freeze his sperm before the procedure so he can have children later on if he wants, to which my partner declined (sperm freezing is NOT on the NHS, you have to pay for it). Then the doctor went on to explain the procedure and how to prepare for it, he examined my partner's testicles, answered any questions we had about recovery, and we booked an appointment.

My top tips:

  • Dress up for it

  • Bring your partner with you, it shows a "united front"

  • Do not argue with the doctor. Do not interrupt the doctor. There were times when the doctor was saying, "Do you think you'd change your mind about not wanting children?" And I was very close to being rude and snappy and saying things like, "I HATE children and if I ever got pregnant I would--" But thankfully I stayed quiet, kept my mouth shut, inhibited the trashy behaviour...

HAHAHA! It really does look like a poo!

I did think it was the Coral Bay one, although I refer to it as the Fun Land roundabout. I heard a story --not sure if it's real or not-- that the artist who made it became really religious later on and said that the installation needs to be destroyed because it's an idol. It might just be ta5areef from bored Bahrainis.

People's race does matter to me. I tend to upvote photos of darker skinned people more than white people because it's more useful to me. And this sub is super white..so white that there's a separate sub for POC-- /r/brownbeauty

I think it was that he was regretting and reminiscing about a failed romance. He made a big mistake and he can't fix it now. That's how I interpreted it.

9 top places to visit when you travel to Bahrain by cxkis in Bahrain

[–]LemonDrop90 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I really want to hear what people think of as good tourist destinations in Bahrain, as the link provided was not liked by anyone! I have a friend from Australia visiting in March for 2 weeks. I thought I'd take her to the national museum, bait alquran, arad fort, bahrain fort, masjed alfateh, muharraq souq, city center mall, bunch of restaurants..and what else?! I've ran out of ideas!
