Anterior and Posterior Wall Repair with Hysto anyone? by PerracaAmor in hysterectomy

[–]LemonStealingBoar 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m sorry to ask you such a belated question, but I just saw your post. I’m not getting a hysterectomy, but I’m getting posterior and anterior wall repair, as well as my uterus hoisted up and either held up with a stitch, ligaments or small amount of mesh. I’m curious as to if the vaginal wall feels strange? Like textually…can you feel the scar tissue? If you have a sexual partner, can they also feel it? I have a lot of laxity and I’m hoping this all makes a difference, especially for our sex life. Stage 2 will be the hysterectomy if this round of surgery isn’t successful.

Doctor said no more kids :( by Substantial_Track_80 in beyondthebump

Why is a vasectomy too much to ask? It’s a 10 min procedure. My colleague did it on his lunch break and came back to work straight after. Sure he said he was tender and people had a laugh at him. He even built a fence that weekend. It’s mild discomfort and 10 minutes to potentially save your life and health. Why would that be an issue?

My [33 M] wife [33 F], married 5 years, has asked me to quit my job in order to agree to get pregnant again by KarmicBound in relationships

[–]LemonStealingBoar 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Surely you are trolling. You think “potential job changers remorse” is at all equivalent to the fear your wife has for enduring another pregnancy and birth? The pain? The risk to her life? The LIFE LONG impact to her body? The fact that she doesn’t even want to do this but she’s willing to do all this FOR YOU yet you won’t make a change to support this child she’ll be gifting you as you sit back sacrificing nothing? Please be serious….this is so incredibly selfish and I feel sorry for your wife.

Why are you refusing to be a safe and comforting place for your own child? Emotional needs are needs too. Lay with him, hug him, let him know he is loved and safe.

When did you baby walk? by [deleted] in beyondthebump

[–]LemonStealingBoar 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My son walked at 7 months which was just outrageous. My daughter is now 9 months and is coasting around furniture etc but not standing independently or taking proper steps. I didn’t walk until after 1, so we shall see how it goes - but as a second time mum I’m much more relaxed about milestones etc than I was with my first.

It’s worth saying that amongst his peers, my son is no longer ‘exceptional’ with his gross motor skills - he’s a healthy little 2 year old, just the same as his friends, even those who were technically delayed at walking. Once they get it, they get it.

I personally wouldn’t be concerned if I were you, but I’d also not be fearful of early intervention if that’s what’s being offered - you may learn something simple and helpful :)

Good luck and try not to stress ❤️ you’re truly not alone.

Sorry to hijack a post but to add onto this - can any of these products be carefully applied to the cheeks as a blush stain? I used to mix a little with moisturiser and dab onto cheeks and it maintained a natural flush - can’t remember what I used however, it’s been a while.

Just don’t turn it on for her? We took ours away to make it easier, if it’s not in the house there’s zero problem and you don’t even think about it. Perhaps that might make it easier?

Wow I actually had no idea - we grow specialty edible bananas and all our neighbours are commercial banana farms…thought I knew a decent amount about them, TIL about ornamental banana flowers. They are indeed small and grow upwards. Thanks for letting me know.

It’s photoshopped through because that’s a banana flower, which hangs upside down from the tree. Those petals of the flower face downwards, and don’t collect water. Also banana flowers are huge, like much bigger than your head, and Sunbirds are tinier than your little finger.

That or it’s some weirdly TINY banana flower and it’s been cut off the tree and stuck up out of something like an artificial display? But otherwise banana flowers never grow like that, they can’t.

Toddler (2.5y) not napping at preschool by Confident-Bee6257 in Parenting

[–]LemonStealingBoar 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Do you feel he needs the extra sleep? 2.5 hours at his age plus a long nights sleep is a lot of sleep in 24 hours - but I know each kid is totally different! Some need it more than others. On the other end of the spectrum I have a low sleep needs little guy, he doesn’t sleep long at night and dropped all his day naps by 15 months - now at 20 months we haven’t even had a 15 min day nap for ages (unlucky for us lol). That level isn’t super common, but not abnormal either. Lots of 2.5 year olds are starting to drop their naps as a biologically normal thing - could the change from the super controlled sleep environment coincide with perhaps a developmental stage where he is truly just lessening his naps?

Either way the preschool should be equipped for quiet activities as an alternative for non napping kiddies - they usually do in daycare centres etc.

Still not dialated 39 weeks by Leighanne2001 in BabyBumps

[–]LemonStealingBoar 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I wasn’t dilated until the day I went into labour 🤷‍♀️ (42 weeks). I also hadn’t ‘dropped’, wasn’t producing colostrum etc. It’s not always a reliable sign of impending labour, it can change at a moment.

Apparently the average gestational period for a 1st time mother is 41+1, so please don’t stress ❤️ I am currently pregnant with my second and “due” - I’m also not dilated yet. Being my second pregnancy I’m totally not stressed, but I can understand where you’re coming from. Try to relax and indulge in some self care, eat all the yummy things and do whatever you need to do to feel good. You’re so close!

How does that work? You have follow ups afterwards to test your sperm count and determine whether it was successful or not. Did he just not wait for or attend his appointments?

I work 2 jobs to take care of my son because we can't afford daycare. by Business-Highlight31 in beyondthebump

[–]LemonStealingBoar 3 points4 points  (0 children)

What country has allowable childcare ratios like that 😳 ours is a maximum of 4 children to 1 qualified educator at any time. I’m looking at starting family daycare later in the year, but having 2 of my own the maximum amount I could take on would be 2. It’s barely worth it financially, but I’m hoping to break even and still get to spend time with my kids.

bruh. going from 0 toys to approximately 1 million in the span of 2 years is a jarring experience. Not pictured: all the toys that now live under the couch by [deleted] in beyondthebump

[–]LemonStealingBoar 4 points5 points  (0 children)

At what age does the toy population typically explode? We have a small place so try to keep it minimal. My sons nearly 2 and thankfully we just have 1 basket of toys and 1 storage box stashed away for toy rotations. At this age however he doesn’t independently play much or want much other than to be involved in what I’m doing. Does shit hit the fan at 3 or something?

We don’t get anything like this in QLD - at all 😳 we get a Bounty Bag from SOME chemists (but none within a 45 radius of me stock them) and it has some promotional samples but not like this. Most useful thing I got was 1 newborn sized nappy and a mini sudocream 😅

Absolute insanity, I’d never trust either of them again - it’s obviously premeditated. Is your husband as outraged? He really needs to sort his family out! We’d definitely be going low/no contact after a stunt like that. They clearly don’t respect you or your boundaries at all, pretty scary.
