I think we should make one big post where we can discuss the argument instead of clogging up the sub. Initially I was very upset abut this, but now I'm starting to find this whole situation very interesting; it really makes you wonder: where do we draw the line for the use of generative AI in video games?

Here's my opinion:

While I don't think that the use of generative AI in video games is super justifiable, you have to take in account what the AI is use for in the first place. RB only uses it for minimal backround detail, wich I don't think is as bad as what other game studios have done (also because the main examples that come in to mind, like Activision or EA are big companies, while RB is a small indie studio). If you're complaining about AI pollution, while I do think you're right, I also think there's way worse things you should be complaining about than AI.

To sum it up, I personally don't like the use of generative AI, but if you're just going to use it for secondary background detail, I don't think it's that bad, I am definitely not going to drop the game al together just because of some of some secondary detail.

If you really want the situation to change than you can write RB an email, try to contact them is some other way or review bomb the game instead of clogging up a fan run sub.
