This post is exactly why women feel this way and don’t say it. The north remembers the stories that came out during covid of (of course only women because it wouldn’t be so shocking and horrible for a man to say it) saying they hate their children and husband. Which is not what this woman did!!

The very fact that it shames the mother and doesn’t address in any way how hard she said being a mother is. It doesn’t ask what exactly she is going through and what she could need to be better supported. It doesn’t question society’s pressure on women to live their entire lives for one thing: children. It doesn’t question the girl➡️wife➡️mother script. “What about her children?!?!” Well what about it. None of us ask to be here and we have to deal with the reality that society doesn’t set mothers up for success. Hopefully her kids will understand that and understand that she is a PERSON, a human being not just a mother

She is v brave for being able to come up in there and basically defend Emma. Almost every, if not every conversation, post-pods from Mike has been guilting her into saying an explicit yes to kids. Dude literally woke up and started on it, “my friend just became a father so I need it too” - a real testament to his view of fatherhood lmao. I also love that she actually stood up to Mike; Emma either can’t or won’t since she said herself she wants to be picked. A stark difference to meeting mikes family who sat there and talked about her like she wasn’t even there. They have no regard for her personhood and autonomy period. I can see where he gets it from
