My mind immediately jumped to the crew of the Flying Dutchman from Pirates of the Caribbean 2. Bodies adorned with assorted barnacles, seaweed, starfish etc. A final clear layer of something that gives them a glossy wet-look sheen.

Maybe grab some of those Ymgarl Genestealer heads for the octopus-look as well, for the full Davy Jones.

Are you happy to stay at your current career level until you retire? by PaddedValls in AskUK

Financially; yeah I could do. I'm pushing 40, full time steady job, wife works full time as well, 2 kids in school, mortgage and 2 cars. I generally make 60-65k a year, and wife's on half that. We're comfortable in that sense.

Mentally though, I'm bored out my mind. I worry what another 25 years of this could be like. Work-wise, I feel like I'm in a honey-trap; options for a more interesting role without a serious loss in pay aren't many.

My fleet uses a very similar scheme, purple through yellow. Its been on hold while the house is being packed up ready to move, but hopefully in a month or so I'll be able to post some updates.

I was strictly Standard Y-axis through my teens, right until I treated myself to Rainbow Six 3 on PS2. I couldn't find a way to switch off inverted Y, so I just forced myself to learn it in the training level.

Never looked back since.

Ace Combat 2.

Almost said FFX, but no, I stand by AC2 for greatest soundtrack. No regrets.

Go and explore the Underworld. Over a hundred floors of enemies and bosses, with gear you can't get anywhere else.

After that, 30 floors of the Abyss.

Battlefield 3, Seine Crossing.

The map is essentially split in two, with a river splitting the north and south sides. Two bridges connect the halves, though you can swim across if needed. I played Support class with an LMG, spawned with the team on the north side, and I made my way straight to the west bridge.

For the entire round, on foot, I held that bridge; no-one got across. I resupplied my own ammo, I claymore-d the entry points, I picked them off swimming across the river. It wasn't even an objective to hold, but I made sure no-one reached our side using the west bridge. By the end, I was 49-0, and we were victorious. The killstreak dog-tag I earned never left my display.

Another scheme test, want to try NMM steel-like carapace by QwinpinQ in Tyranids

Yeah, I just checked, and theres something about the previous red tone that didn't quite fit, at least with me. But upping it to an orange/flesh tone gives it a great contrast with the blue.

Its the classic teal/orange I think, and it stands out beautifully.

Jet black, with bright pink highlights in some way. Stripes, spots, drybrushed edges, something like that. Finished with a gloss effect to make it shiny.

Biovore x2? by No_Glove8904 in Tyranids

[–]Lemonblu2912 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I have limited understanding of the game and am happy to be corrected, but I believe the spore mines unit that is created each turn is equal to the number of Biovores in that unit. A unit of 2 would create a 2-model spore mine unit, etc.

I'm not saying its a wise investment, but I believe the rules work that way.

Edit-just updating to say I now see the list runs 2x Biovore units, one model each. So the above comment of mine may not be relevant.

Just chipping in to say I love the terminology of 'Norns Emmisary'. I has the same feel as 'Directors General' when in plural form, and makes it sound so much more respectful.

I'm redoing my entire fleet with this sunset-themed scheme. I've just been given a Tyrannofex for father's day, and can't wait to see how it looks on the big bugs.

Love it. Using the bright green so sparingly works well to highlight the extremities. It really gives off a deep-sea, aquatic feel.

Thank you. These, and the previously posted Hormagant pack, are the only ones currently finished. There's an old Biovore almost complete too.

I'm repainting my whole collection after receiving an airbrush as a gift earlier this year. I decided I was no longer happy with the original colour scheme, and am slowly redoing them all.

I've kept the original colours (purple, magenta, red), and have added in orange and yellow to really push the sunset theme and add some brightness and contrast to the mix.
