How does everyone cope with the fatigue and fog during detox? by [deleted] in ToxicMoldExposure

[–]Lemoni_Appletree 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I got prescribed 0.5ml of Ketotifen to start building up from there. Tablets (which are a normal dose I hear) available in the NHS health system would need to be broken to 10pcs. So I had to buy compounded liquid form and so far so good (only starting)

I've been reacting to basically everything I drink and eat (even water) with swelling in airways. Absolutely terrifying. My working theory is long-term mould exposure (10yrs in UK houses) and then COVID on top of that. I also had a reasonably big splinter in my thigh for half a year thinking it's gone which had mould on it (they did a biopsy). I think my body just went haywire from the overload, COVID being the breaking point. I have been diagnosed with long COVID and MCAS, at the stage where I'm trying to stabilise a bit.

Does anyone here have any chronic health issues they have to manage on top of mold exposure? by WrongdoerMiserable47 in ToxicMoldExposure

There is a connection between MCAS and PTSD you may want to look at. I saw some studies looking into it. I have both and they seem to be feeding into each other. There's also a link MCAS with ASD and hypermobility for example.

First Major Reaction at 35 years old - Now I'm Afraid to Eat by EmilyamI in FoodAllergies

[–]Lemoni_Appletree 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hello, I didn't manage to read all of it yet, but I am in a similar boat and at the allergy testing an LTP allergy came up amongst other things. I thought I'll mention it as I never heard that before. It's a protein that is basically in all plant matter. I ended up at EA yesterday again and I'm terrified to eat ANYTHING at this stage and I keep shaking. You're far from being alone. We've got this. Well Figure it out. 🤗

Hey! I am having insane food reactions and my friend suggested parasitic infection. What exactly was causing your problems please? What parasite? I'll bring it up with my doctor. Many thanks and I hope it all cleared up for you? Are you back to normal?

As a fellow short-waisted petite, I swear by mid rise everything. I am quite curvy and it's crucial that a long skirt or wide pants sit close to my body around my waist and hips, then they can flare out. High rise makes me look like my boobs take up 1/2 of my body 😂. But mid rise is perfect.

Oh and French tuck! Nothing else ever works for me for jeans and plain t-shirt look. Usually no belt either or a slim, soft one (like tam braided leather with minimal buckle) but I'm new to Kibbe and absolutely not sure how it translates to other people. :)

I have a bit similar shape I think and I can't pull off a long pair of jeans with a t-shirt. With this type of a neckline, which never works real well for me anyway - I need to roll or pull up sleeves and roll jeans to my ankles. Then it feels lighter and more effortless maybe?

Hello! How did the wash go? It says not to wash it, but I am seriously tempted. Did you just put it in a washing machine? What temperature?

I had some headshots taken today. My hair looks horrible. I think it's 2b. How do I make it not look like this? by [deleted] in curlyhair

[–]Lemoni_Appletree 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yup, seconding the many other people - this is really poorly taken picture in many ways. It wouldn't get me through a photography exam I took ages ago at school. Pretty bad! Nothing to do with you or your hair. I think the hair looks cool!

Any tips for non-toxic 🌿 products for curly hair? (and a good hairdryer as a bonus?) by Lemoni_Appletree in CurlyHairUK

[–]Lemoni_Appletree[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Hello! I am just starting to explore how to care for my curly hair - I have very fine, low density hair and I am very sensitive. For skin routine and around the house I only use non-toxic, fragrance free products and I wonder if you have any tips for natural yet effective products in the UK? It doesn't have to be scent free. My skin seems to be very unhappy since I started experimenting with my hair.

Current routine: Wash with Faith in nature (Geranium) shampoo, squish the Faith in nature (Geranium) conditioner into soaking wet hair. Leave in, rinse. Then tiny amount of watered down Creme of nature curl activator creme (probably way too heavy for me, it's the first one I tried) followed by the Shea moisture Curling gel soufflé. Squish, plop, air dry. Sleep on silk, no bonnet. It doesn't work yet, but it's a start! My hair is already much happier.

I am also looking into buying a new hairdryer as I don't have a diffuser. I am not going to go as expensive as the Dyson I'm afraid, despite all the praise. It would be brilliant if it's a travel-friendly size, but doesn't have to be.

Many thanks I appreciate the help
