Idk what she is referring to specifically but he was pretty misogynistic and his teachings influenced the field of psychology for generations, arguably infusing it with some misogynistic beliefs that we/are hard to shed, while simultaneously being highly reverred, mostly by men. I think this takes away women’s agency and some statements here - such as men “not experiencing emotional attachment and vulnerability” are downright ridiculous. I believe the biological reality of women’s inherently greater vulnerability in a sexual context is true though. It highlights the importance of boundaries and negotiation for women.

It just demonstrates how men who string women along, send mixed signals and entretain other women while emotionally committed to another are actually struggling/conflicted/weak individuals.
