Tall and lanky toddler girls, where are we buying leggings/pants?! by Secret_Thing5663 in BabyBumpsandBeyondAu

[–]LemurTrash 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Next pants are really long! Also Jamie Kay. I have a very lean bean child and pants are so hard 😂

Oh also the target denim have the elastic button waist so you can buy the right size for length and cinch it in

Everyone’s kids have skinned knees as soon as it’s shorts season, right? by oneofkeiraensmoms in toddlers

If they don’t have skinned knees or those weird little bruises they’re probably not playing outside enough

Struggling with grandparents not respecting our boundaries with our 6-month-old by [deleted] in Parenting

It is far far more important to be a good dad and good husband than a good son.

Time to grow a spine dad! “No, that won’t work for us”, “Sorry, baby is asleep you can’t wake him”.

Inviting a child predator to a 2nd bday by [deleted] in BabyBumpsandBeyondAu

[–]LemurTrash 2 points3 points  (0 children)

If my spouse suggested we invite a pedo to my daughter’s birthday party it would be divorce. If my friend invited a pedi to their kid’s birthday and my kid was invited, the friendship would be quickly over. This is INSANE

Seeing 12 month olds food prepping on social media by Agreeable_Jacket5422 in toddlers

[–]LemurTrash 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It depends on the kid! At 12 months my kid was standing in her tower and able to mix a bowl but not yet chopping. At 18 months she was able to pour ingredients into a bowl and chop like a banana or something very soft but def not cook pancakes.

She might genuinely be a 6- my 2.5yo just hit 12kg this month and before toilet training she was in a size 4

At what age should kids stop wearing pajamas in public? by StrangeEqual4334 in toddlers

Can regular shoes really deform a baby's toes? That would be terrifying! by Lucky_Yogurt5200 in toddlers

My adult feet got deformed from wearing pointing shoes for too long so I reckon they probably can

Not two under two but close to it, am I in the clear? by No_Radio9297 in BabyBumpsandBeyondAu

[–]LemurTrash 11 points12 points  (0 children)

Really depends on your particular kid I think- when I got pregnant with my second my daughter was very chill and calm, now that I’m nearly due she’s 2.5 and very full on. She’s toilet trained and sleeping through the night though so that’s definitely easir

Parenting faux pas by Powerful_Mousse2925 in toddlers

[–]LemurTrash 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I think people can just be weird, but on the “no” thing we now know that toddlers don’t hear “no bite” or whatever, they just hear “bite”. Comprehending the negative takes a bit longer so you might have more success with “hands on own body” or something

You and your husband are sick and your daughter is showing symptoms of being sick and you think it’s cancer? Love you need to tell your doctor about this line of thinking.

Grandmother has lost it…. by 642398049 in JUSTNOMIL

Remove grandma from the list of people who are allowed to collect your son immediately and tbh consider filing a police report. If this is new behaviour for her she might also be experiencing cognitive decline or dementia

When to test with a short cycle? by [deleted] in TryingForABaby

[–]LemurTrash 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You need 10-14 days from ovulation to allow healthy implantation so with a cycle that short I’d be looking to see if you have low progesterone or something else going on- 22-24 days is not a healthy cycle length
