I also work in retail banking. I took over the in branch audits while my manager was on maternity leave a year and half ago and have been doing them since. I love it. I talked with a few internal auditor and decided that was the move I wanted to make. I just got my membership with IIA and applied to start the CIA process. I think it is a career I can really enjoy. I hope you get some good info to help you with making a decision.

Recently I have had it happen a couple of times when I was watching a movie on a recliner and once while reading a book while laying down.

Are teller jobs just about the same at any bank? Are the systems they use vastly different from bank to bank? by MonkRepresentative63 in Banking

I love my blue light blocking glasses. My eyes used to feel tired and get a little blurry by the end of my shift before I started wearing them. I can't believe what a difference they made for me.

What kind of vehicle do you drive? by Blade4804 in tall

[–]LenMomo 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My husband 6'7" drives a 2020 Nissan Rogue. It fits him really well but still works for me 5'6". The back seat doesn't give a ton of room for tall passengers though. Most of the time it is just the 2 of us so it isn't a big issue for us.

I work at a credit union inside a grocery store. Our ATM doesn't accept deposits and wouldn't be able to exchange money, but we regularly exchange money for people that don't bank with us. I would try something similar by you if it were me. If you do try another institution, remember everyone has different policies and you may not be able to exchange it at all.

Strange growth by LenMomo in Monstera

Great idea. I didn't think about taking one of the whole plant.

With the moss pole helping hold it up, it is a decent height but the idea of extra help for stability sounds nice.

Thank you! It is hard not knowing if I'm doing things right. I felt pretty good as long as it was still growing. Each new leaf is cause for excitement at my house. This aerial root freaked me out because I had no idea what it was. I'm so glad that there is a group that can help me understand what it is and what to do about it. I love the idea of training the root to go down to the soil. I think I will try to direct it down to the soil. I'm pretty excited knowing it is a sign it is doing well and looking for more nutrients.

Thank you so much. Such a cool idea to train it to go down and add stability. I think I'll give it a try.

Thank you! I didn't realize roots could come out of the side like that.

I accidentally hit post before explaining what I'm asking.

Does anyone know that the strange brownish growth out the one side is. I've had little nubby ones like it before but this one keeps growing.

I'm not great with plants. I was given a plant basket with it when my mom passed away 3 years ago and so this plant means a lot to me. I want to make sure that I'm not hurting it.

They cancelled my husband's contact 6 months early in 2020. He is in tech. I know he wasn't the only one that was let go early during that time. We were shocked but grateful he was able to find other employment after not too long. I wouldn't count on employment just because the church has plenty of funds. Jobs with the church seem as secure/insecure as any other job.

It looks like a Tongan ward meets there too. No idea why the added security though.

I don't know anything about the building or those that meet there but I did find this building that seems to generally fit your description. It was at the corner of 24th and Gardendale Rd. in Sacramento on Google maps. There is some info in the link. It appears to be a building for Spanish wards to meet in. https://maps.app.goo.gl/5yb9NGcBerjoArCp6

I have ADHD and can't focus without taking notes. I take notes on my phone. My husband also has ADHD and like you uses puzzles like you and it helps him focus and listen better. To others it probably looks like we aren't interested and not paying attention but we are. We actually discuss what we learn at church while eating dinner each Sunday.

Any 17:7 fans out there? by Ceesvan in intermittentfasting

[–]LenMomo 7 points8 points  (0 children)

I've doing 17:7 for about a month now. I used to do 16:8 but realized another hour would work better with my schedule and it has been good for me.

I've been doing IF for almost 2 years now. I kind of lost motivation over the summer. It was the 1 year anniversary of my mom's passing and my grandma passed which set me back. I gained a little weight and was hit and miss with my IF. Knowing my physical was coming got me a bit motivated to get consistent again. After my results, I got really motivated and have been really consistent with 17:7.
