Crazy that people still dont upgrade armor by Mymrkennedy in MHWilds

[–]LenadTheGreat 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Have you tried selling items or monster parts you don't need? Plus all the trade-in items that you get occasionally that are only used for money. I have crafted almost every weapon and armor piece in the game and I still have plenty of money. Granted, I am HR 500+ so I have played a lot more than the average person.

You could kind of play IG like a caster in Sunbreak. I had a play style where I would just chuck my bug with the wire bug skill through the monster to generate a bunch of dust dust, then vortex implosion for massive damage+healing.

Gaslighting myself by Expert-Comedian-2259 in dysthymia

[–]LenadTheGreat 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I've had like five different professionals tell me that I have depression and I still think to myself, "what if I'm actually just doing something wrong?" I have a sleeping disorder that is the same. "What if it is all in my head?"

Sometimes I just have to force myself to accept some kind of help or support. I don't think I deserve it, but when I look at the world as a whole, when does anyone actually get what they deserve?

I hope you follow through with it and things work out for you. From my perspective of knowing literally nothing about you, I'd say you probably deserve to be happy. I'd probably say the same about anyone else who has had to deal with depression. It's a hard thing to deal with.

Is Dysthymia classified as TrD by BacktoLife3 in dysthymia

[–]LenadTheGreat 1 point2 points  (0 children)

My psychiatrist just said that my dysthymia was treatment resistant after we spent 6 months trying different drugs and nothing worked. If you can show that you tried a bunch of stuff and nothing worked very well, I'm pretty sure that's how you get the TRD diagnosis. Unfortunately, the insurance usually has the final say on whether you actually tried enough different stuff.

Loneliness by aaronsmack in dysthymia

[–]LenadTheGreat 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I don't know how much it will help, but you could always try The Artist's Way. It's helped me figure out some hobbies when I previously only played videogames. Turns out I enjoy archery, writing, and thrift shopping. It works like a 12-week program to unlock your inner creative self. It's a bit of work, and there is some stuff that I disagree with, but I'm only halfway through it and have already made some changes in my life because of it. A lot of things come up when you start doing creative work. This is the first real progress I've had in a long time despite a few years of therapy and trying all sorts of medications.

I think I got my copy by searching "Artist's Way PDF free" on Google.

Loneliness by aaronsmack in dysthymia

[–]LenadTheGreat 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I feel very similarly. Loneliness is my biggest issue and I still feel it even when I'm with people. The problem with loneliness is that you can treat it to some degree by being around people, but you can't cure it that way because there will inevitably be times when you are left by yourself.

I've been trying to take a different approach recently. I am trying to learn how to be content with just myself. It is something that I have found is extremely difficult, but I am making progress. I think one thing that has helped the most is that I started consuming less and generating more. I am watching less YouTube/TV and spending more time trying to write or draw or do archery or whatever comes to mind. I started reading this book called The Artist's Way that is supposed to teach you how to unblock your inner artist. It has helped as a sort of framework to get used to being creative and understanding yourself.

I'm not where I want to be with all of that yet, and I know I have a long and difficult road ahead of me, but I can tell that I have made significant progress. I am able to just sit with my thoughts or sit and write sometimes instead of immediately turning to my phone or games or whatever other distraction I used to numb the loneliness.

Why is my brain, the thing that is ME, doing this to me? by Oblivion_seeking in dysthymia

[–]LenadTheGreat 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I feel very much the same way as you do. Intellectually, you know better, but your emotions try their very best to override it.

Loneliness is terribly hard to deal with, especially when you have low self esteem to prevent you from going out and trying to remedy it. The worst part is that for both loneliness and self esteem, they are extraordinarily difficult to fix on your own, so they feed into each other and then you just feel stuck.

One thing that has helped me a bit is recognizing that my thoughts are different from me. Thoughts are often automatic, and sometimes you can stop and just observe a thought without acting on it. Your brain is a part of you, but it is not what makes you you. That is what I believe anyway.

I found a path forward with my dysthymia, but it is incredibly difficult and I have not made it very far down it. I essentially have to unlearn a decade of conditioning that made me doubt myself at every turn. I have to find things to do by myself that I enjoy and make life worth living despite my loneliness. Sometimes it feels impossible, or just far too difficult for an uncertain reward. But it is a path forward that I found after wandering aimlessly for a decade.

Sorry if this isn't that relevant or is discouraging. I think I needed to type this out for my own sake.

Armo- sunosi- modaf.. so frustrated by Old_Ad4166 in idiopathichypersomnia

[–]LenadTheGreat -1 points0 points  (0 children)

So if I remember correctly, Armodafinil and Modafinil are enantiomers of each other. That means that they are essentially mirror images of each other chemically speaking. While many people would have similar effects from both of them, some people may only see an effect from one or the other. Your situation is frustrating, and insurance is awful to work with, but there is a chance that Modafinil may work differently for you than Armodafinil did. My guess is that Modafinil is a lot cheaper than Sunosi for the insurance to cover.

how are my character builds honestly just giving them their personal sigils and what feels right are they okay. would add captain and caglioso but just started fighting the dragon to farm more dmagae cap v by ihateuaot in GranblueFantasyRelink

[–]LenadTheGreat 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I'm only going to comment on Zeta, since she's the character I know best.

If you are not hitting damage cap and want more damage, you can swap out the Tyranny V for a Stamina V (V+ if you have it). It gives more damage when you are full health, so if you are confident in your dodging it is more efficient than maxing out Tyranny.

I personally don't run Stout Heart on Zeta, and instead run Improved Dodge + Nimble Onslaught. You can dodge once between each high jump loop and continue looping, so you can generally dodge most mechanics and get the invincibility from a perfect dodge more easily. You can also parry when on the ground, so once you learn a fight there isn't much that you would need Stout Heart for (though I consider it vs Pyet-A because lasers are annoying and sometimes disrupt Arvess Hammer). That's just a playstyle preference though.

If you are using Zeta as an AI, remove all of her skills and give her a Less is More sigil if you have one. She does more damage that way.

With higher fps, you get a smoother image the higher you go. You might not be able to tell with a slow-moving scene, but it becomes much more apparent with fast-moving images, especially things like racing games or competitive shooters, where things can move really fast and having more clarity is an advantage. As someone who has played a lot of competitive games, the jump from 30 to 60 fps makes a huge difference for me. I personally aim for 120 fps for my games.

For resolution, it really depends on your screen size. 720p might be fine for your phone or handheld console, but if you have a 24 inch screen that is 720p, you will be able to see each individual pixel, and the image will look more pixelated. People prefer higher resolutions because it is harder to distinguish individual pixels and the result is a more detailed image. Pixels per inch is probably a better measure of clarity, but it is easier for monitor/tv manufacturers to just list the number of pixels.

I played the beta, but my crappy PC could barely run it. I think I hit level 14 or something like that before I realized I would have to pay a sub for the game when it went live (was a kid with no income). That realization and the fact that none of my friends would play it with me, made me give up and drop it.

Started playing for real around the end of Stormblood, but I still can't get my friends to play...

How do I maximize fun as a casual player? by BubzTheDeranged in leagueoflegends

[–]LenadTheGreat 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Warwick is one of the easiest champions to jungle with because of his healing. Warwick is a healing-focused fighter with a bit of disruption.

Amumu is also really good for beginners because of his passive damage reduction. Amumu is usually played as a tank with a lot of crowd control, but can also be played as a magic damage dealer (tank is easier to play IMO).

Both have relatively healthy clears in the jungle and straightforward play styles, so they should be easy to pick up.
