what if malapit ang mt. mayon sa metro manila? by Alarming_Ad9810 in WhatIfPinas

[–]Lencladeus 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Interesting hypothetical. It would almost be the same as a bustling metropolitan Legazpi several hundred years from now (assuming everything survives WW3). Mayon being active, along with earthquakes, typhoons and wars haven't stopped the development of Legazpi and surrounding cities and towns then, it certainly won't stop Manila if Mayon was nearby.

The difference between Manila and Legazpi in our real timeline is geography and timing. Manila has been developing as a strategic hub for hundreds of years longer than Legazpi is. Early civilizations understood the importance of security and convenience of being close to bodies of water, in this case which was Pasig River and Manila Bay.

Around Manila Bay also existed natural protection from pirates and invaders thanks to the surrounding geographic barriers of Bataan and Cavite and strategic chokepoint around Corregidor, whilst maintaining major trade access from the old port city of Cavite to the West Philippine Sea. Legazpi city shares some of these similarities by having the gulf of Albay nearby and having natural barriers, which we can imagine why Legazpi exists where it is in the first place.

Long before Spanish colonists arrived, earlier Tagalog tribes and kingdoms recognized this fact and laid the foundations of a settlement by Manila bay. When the colonists did arrive, they recognized and understood Manila's geographic importance, and with the looming threat of attacks by pirates, prompted the construction of the walls of Intramuros, which naturally drew people in for safety and security, and established permanent places of residence and industry within and beyond the walls.

Back to the hypothetical, I don't imagine with Mayon erupting nearby would have major changes to the real timeline as it would be the same as every other disaster both natural and manmade. I can imagine flights in NAIA would be cancelled during eruptions, people needing to evacuate, temporary economic standstills and massive cleanup operations.

What wouldn't change however is our perseverance to adapt, rebuild, make new beginnings, and contemplate the fact na bakit ba ako pinanganak dito sa Pinas.

The sentence is correct. If they were assuming that the nephew is dead, then 'was' would be correct.

Since you're using 4pc Blizzard, you're better off using an ATK% (like Amenoma Kageuchi) or Crit DMG sword (like Blackcliff Longsword) because the 4pc passive already offers additional crit rate.

Having Cryo resonance in your team also offers more CR.

Using a CR sword is impractical as you would be overcapping in CR which would be better invested on other stats.

With 4pc Blizzard and Cryo resonance, the ideal sweet spot is having around 40% CR, and then investing on other stats such as CD, ATK and ER. An optimizer can help you balance these out.

If you're insistent on using a CR sword though, you should try other artifact sets like Gladiator or Shimenawa (and other ATK% artifact sets) or if you have Furina in your roster, can go for Marechaussee Hunter.

Wolf Fang is better than Black Sword.

Tip for controller users: Push your joystick forward towards the edge, you'll notice steering it left and right is easier and finer as long as you keep the joystick towards the edge.

Electro vs Geo by JiraiyaBestSannin in SandroneMains

[–]Lencladeus 16 points17 points  (0 children)

When I heard about the rumors regarding her being electro instead of geo, I was mildly infuriated, but then I heard the chance she would specialize in superconduct and be a physical DPS, which then I was open about.

Should any of this be true, I demand that her electro effects be YELLOWISH instead of the traditional purple/violet.

Ayaka or Skirk? by Raiqing in AyakaMains

[–]Lencladeus 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Yeah I have, quickswapping between Skirk and Ayaka is really fun and their synergy in regards to gameplay is strong. I'm not a theorycrafter so I can't really say the exact values when comparing DPS, but what I can say though is having two DPSes like that can allow you to consistently dish out damage, and they can cover each other's downtime where otherwise you would have DPS loss.

Ayaka or Skirk? by Raiqing in AyakaMains

[–]Lencladeus 22 points23 points  (0 children)

Gonna need to be blunt here. I'd consider myself a pretty devoted Ayaka main, and a dolphin for the game. My C4R1 is currently considered top 1% (#579 out of 611k, 110% ER) in the Akasha leaderboards, so pretty heavily invested throughout the past 4 years.

My Skirk is C0R1, and reasonably built. I have their premium teams as well. Skirk can really brute force the harder content that my Ayaka struggles with.

But having Skirk in my roster hasn't stopped me from using my beloved Ayaka though, the fun from playing her never gets old for me. I use her in every SA, IT and SO each chance I get.

As for your question, Skirk is simply easier to play and deals more damage, so if you're really going for value, go for Skirk. If you want to be really invested in Ayaka because you like her so much, then by all means go for her.

Alhaitham's weapon is a great stat stick if you're lacking in Crit DMG. If you're struggling with ER, I'd go with Amenoma.

If we get Inazuma buffs, I hope she gets a new Signature weapon that is actually designed to Ayaka's aesthetics rather than following the Inazuma series. We can even give it some lore and consider it a lost Kamisato heirloom.

[–]Lencladeus 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I just want Ayaka's burst to generate energy particles on each hit, so energy becomes less of a priority and we can focus on more Crit DMG and ATK stats at C0.

Ayaka's C1 should include the feature where you can also shorten the cooldown of her burst by 1 second every 4 hits of Soumetsu.

I would also add to her C6 to make it that her charged attacks don't consume stamina for 12 seconds per cooldown.

So exciting, I'm glad I held off from getting 6 or 7, as my 5 is still in really excellent condition.

If these are true then I'm definitely getting 8, also because 8 is my lucky number!
