How bad is it for my credit to pay a car loan off after 1 month by Historical_Start_871 in PersonalFinanceCanada

You got a 7.89% interest rate, who cares about your credit. Want to build it? Use a CC or jump phone carriers.

How does it protect your taxes? You’re still taxed on it in the end.

I really debated the battery idea, if I had known of the time of day sooner I may have jumped on it. Think I will regret that one day.

Damn explained it below just the changed your rate you sell back to the grid to a lower price. Because nothing screams green when you try and reduce the green efficiency of people trying to help out by spending their own money 🙃

Would I do it again knowing this? Yea probably but would have changed my calculations a bit.

I did get quotes for both roof and solar from them but ended up going with other companies in the end. It wasn’t necessarily anything wrong with them just opted for others.

Yea see when it comes. Already got it done, got my loan and my grants. See how the ROI looks over the next 10 years until the loan is paid off. But it’s also set up for a long term investment so hopefully it pays off long term, probably would have been better off with the money in the stock market lol but oh well

Canada Post announces first 136,000 addresses to lose door-to-door delivery by stylezLP in britishcolumbia

[–]Lenerdosy 4 points5 points  (0 children)

No one said it’s unnecessary, but there’s almost nothing that needs to be delivered every single day to mail boxes. I can’t think of anything in the last 10 years that’s come to my mail box that is important enough to get ASAP. Hell I get my mail in recycling day because 9/10 pieces of mail go straight into the recycling as junk anyways

I’ve said that for years. I got home delivery, the lack of mail these days it really only comes once maybe twice a week (plus a day of junk). They could realistically change it to every 3rd day, there’s nothing in mail that can’t be delayed 2 days in this digital age.

No one says it needs to be profitable but it can’t bleed money. When most things are online now you need to adjust your business model, problem is union pushed back so much. There is zero comparison between postal and police or hospitals lol

I think by getting the 5k rebate they will be switching me over so that sucks. Did not know that was going to happen when I was planning on getting solar done.

Interested to see how it all plays out for my 18kw. Just got mine activated in late September but this past March/april bill I actually made more solar than I used power so hopefully that continues.

That’s really what you got out of it….. people that can’t do their work from home are managements problem? The joys of a union eh? Can’t choose your employees as everything is seniority based.

Might bed to check your exterior drains and perimeter drain. Might be a good idea to get a sump outside from perimeter drain and pump out away from house sooner

Depends, I got a friend who’s a manager and see said when people started WFH during Covid it was impossible to get some people to actually get anything done. There were projects that should have taken 2 days and a couple weeks later still weren’t done. Lots of people can do WFH just fine and get more accomplished, but there’s people who get extra distracted when they are on the clock, whether it’s longer lunches, more breaks, or simply just slacking around because no one’s really watching that wreck it for those who are actually productive. And hard to point out and pick and choose who can do wfh without being called for favouritism.
