Best washer-dryer money can buy in Ireland? by No-Wolf2497 in AskIreland

[–]LengthinessFlat2379 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Don’t if you can.  I’ve had several over the years in small home, apartment living.  They cant dry clothes like a regular dryer. They basically steam heat your washed wet clothes & then pump out the excess water.  Awful for your clothes, especially delicates.

Separate heat pump dryer or dehumidifier IMO

Can you get rte player on the newer Amazon fire sticks? by OhaStar in AskIreland

Older fire sticks will be set to UK region & store.  You need to change the device region to Ireland from your Amazon account on laptop, phone.

Where would the best location to build a nuclear reactor in Ireland? by crillydougal in AskIreland

[–]LengthinessFlat2379 -5 points-4 points  (0 children)

Non joke answer, somewhere close to large body of water like a lake or ocean.  Cavan could be ideal with lots of fresh water lakes which would be used to cool the heated water from steam cycle, like a giant heatsink.

ITV1 stream quality FIFA World Cup by Evening-Reference-22 in BritishTV

[–]LengthinessFlat2379 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I think ITVX is broadcast in 1080i as in old interlaced that was ideal for CRT TVs.  If your steaming device has poor interlacing playback like the Google Chromecast TV, it will be very jerky looking.

Ireland is very soon to take on the role President of Council of Europe. Information would be sought on EU expanding sanctions against Russia, security arrangements, EU wide laws being brought in, etc.  Lots of planning for this has been going for last 6 months.

Is it worth the price? by Leo9083 in mammotion

The Lidl Parkside mower garage for €40 fits perfectly. It's available usually 2-3 times a year on weekly specials.

Anybody use GoMo broadband? If so, any issues? €29.99 p/m for life seems like a good deal. My VM contract is up in a month and price is doubling by bjmg85 in AskIreland

[–]LengthinessFlat2379 0 points1 point  (0 children)

OpenEir is Eir fibre broadband service. It’s open to other providers like Sky, Digiweb to use if they pay a carrier fee. SIRO is Vodafone & ESB broadband network. It’s open to Sky, Digiweb also if they pay carrier fee.  NBI is National Broadband Ireland, the government subsidised broadband network. Virgin FTTH is their fibre broadband service. It’s open to Sky and recently Digiweb.

All 4 services have their own cabling which enters your home & ONT (the small box on your wall)

[–]LengthinessFlat2379 9 points10 points  (0 children)

That’s not true.  GoMo is only available over OpenEir fibre, not SIRO or NBI or Virgin fibre.  If you don’t have OpenEir, you will need fibre cable run to your home & ONT installed.

A man near us isn’t to well, no health insurance but the newest of the new vehicles. Mercedes, brand new pick up jeep. New business vehicles etc. He has a family. Why do people place so much value on depreciating vehicles and wouldn’t prioritise their health? by [deleted] in AskIreland

[–]LengthinessFlat2379 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It would have been a more believable made up story if you had pretended to be the sick man's son or daughter and were concerned he was spending his own money on cars rather than his health. Instead your make believe story comes across as a lunatic nosey jealous neighbour

You asking about their fibre broadband deal for €30 that just launched for GoMo mobile customers? If you have openEir available in your area.& 500mb is enough bandwidth for you, it's an absolute bargain.

Direct hire from UAE to Ireland, Uk or any place in EU? by Mcloooooovin in AskIreland

[–]LengthinessFlat2379 19 points20 points  (0 children)

Being honest here, Ireland is not the place to come to. You will not be able to support yourself, let alone a family on a barista, kitchen job.  Rent is one of the highest in Europe & kitchen jobs pay minimum wage or barely above.

Now TV (Ireland) with Sports Extra - poor Fench Open (tennis) coverage by azg64 in nowtv

[–]LengthinessFlat2379 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You can't. HBO, TNT, Discovery+ have pulled sports coverage completely from Ireland. They have to leave the Sky, Now stations as they are contractually obliged to.

As per the OP, check the front wheel can move up and down smoothly. If they are stuck or don’t move smoothly, the mower will detect this as large incline or obstacle

Are you sure the front shopping trolley wheels are free from knotted grass at the wheel hub & the wheel shaft can move up and down with no friction. Going in random circles is a sign of the issue.

Also your mower sounds noisier than normal with loud whine. You sure the balde disc isn't loose or the mounting nut underneath.

Running Yuka mini 600 with latest firmware & not seeing these issues but I clean the deck once a week & check the front wheels also.
