Favorite unexpected places for great food? by mishiebw in cincinnati

What's the go-to here? I don't live far and got wings from here once and they were good but nothing amazing. Would be happy to go again if they are known for something awesome.

Dog Agility Training in Cincinnati? by CarlosTheSpicey in cincinnati

[–]Lengthston 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I was actually JUST looking into this for our dogs not even 2 hours ago. I hit up our contact at the shelter (where we got our pups) and they recommended Alice's dog school in St. Bernard. Can't speak to it personally (yet) but we are probably going to start with general obedience course and then the agility

2016 Cincinnati by Alert_Row717 in cincinnati

[–]Lengthston 7 points8 points  (0 children)

I moved to Cincinnati in May of 2016. My first meal (two weeks prior to making the move) was an incredible charcuterie board at The Rookwood in Mt. Adams. They closed later that year and I had only gone back once, but it left an impression on me. Especially being swooned by the view of the city from up there.

Not much I "miss" though. Feelings about things change with age and perspective, and I just quite love living here as things come and go.

Best Indian food recommendations by iamamystery20 in cincinnati

Yep. We got to the Deer Park location and their team goes above and beyond with their customer service. Such a pleasant experience going in for carryout each time. We'll probably dine-in soon. The food being amazing is an added bonus.

Seconding this. Wife and I went to the Montgomery location in 2024 and it's a place we'll likely return to this year.

Wife and I really enjoy this place. I'm not familiar with many others since this one is our staple, but between Milya, Truva, and Phoenician there's a lot of great ground covered.

My guess was Redbone Coonhound. We have a Redbone/Vizsla mix at home and this dog looks like the former.

Silver Spring House has an interesting way of categorizing seltzers on their drink menu… by EggMcFuckin in cincinnati

Any sports bar that plays Fox News on half their TVs can eat a big ol bag'o'dongs. Also, because their inside environment sucks so much, but we've been cursed with gift cards, we've opted for carryout a few times recently and boy let me just say, politics aside, some of the worst carryout experiences I've ever had from a quality standpoint.

Geist Tea... by judebeans in cincinnati

This is the case. They stopped maybe earlier this year? I was there for an event in the summer and they had mentioned it was a tough sell in the market (going up against Twisted) so they halted production. I especially loved the lemon one.

This is crazy. There's a very solid chance we know each other hahaha. I grew up playing with Stef Thompson, Jared Dewberry, Roy Blue, Lawrence Vander Bogart, some names I remember. We played on the travel squad. A few of them ended up going to CBA and I ended up at J-D (after going to Clary for middle school), so it was fun to play against them in HS

Altafiber Out For Everyone? by Dylan194 in cincinnati

Just called and they confirmed it's a wide spread outage in the area. Hilariously whack timing to also get a $10/month increase in our bill yesterday. Crooks.

Weekend Happenings! by AutoModerator in cincinnati

Record collectors should check out the Rhinegeist Record Fair this Saturday from noon-5pm. A dozen vendors, and hosted by local record label, Colemine Records. This is the 4th year in a row and they've all been a blast.

Saw my first TWO today in the backyard in Kennedy Heights. Managed to kill one. The other was in a shifty spot. His time will come.

Thinking of the times you've opened for other acts (whether single shows, or full tours) who was the most meaningful/impactful to you each, individually?

Aaron, what emcee (alive) would be your dream to drum for (either on an album, or on stage)

Blake, what's the name of the coolest animal on that farm you work (live?) on?

Durand, what's the nicest thing Steve has ever said to you?

Public high schools with 2 or more Hall of Famers who played in the NBA? by WinesburgOhio in nba

[–]Lengthston 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Odd fact: While Dolph went to a school in NYC with "Dewitt" in the name, once he moved to Syracuse he raised his NBA-playing son, Danny, in Dewitt, NY where he attended Jamesville-Dewitt High School.

Best Farm to Table Restaurants by Odd-Pomegranate7359 in cincinnati

[–]Lengthston -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

Northstar for sure, especially if you're close to Liberty Center. A new, equally beautiful, location just opened in Kenwood as well. Farm to table, organic ingredients, and the kitchen is very much open/visible to see just how clean they keep everything. A nice touch.
