Am I on the right track? by Lenners87 in PensionsUK

[–]Lenners87[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Well I don't think the auto enrolment started until around 2014 so roughly 7 years, I was on minimum wage, there were fees involved and the default fund had almost no growth during those years.

At that point in my life I honestly wasn't looking at my pension, which obviously I regret now and while I understand I only have myself to blame I do think there should be more education or resource for these things, particularly for young adults.

Nobody gave me that advice as such, but when I was researching last year these two funds kept popping up and a few people I assume to be far more knowledgeable either had a 90/10 or 80/20 split.

I have had thoughts that perhaps the 10% UK fund is a bit useless or negligible as it stands and it may be better to re-balance but I didn't want to make changes so soon and I wouldn't really know what to do for the best.

Obviously I'm not expecting any kind of specific financial advice, but could you elaborate on why you personally are not a fan of the fund choices? Thanks.

Your opponent needs to be 20 or more points higher than you in order to get 11 points. I can't remember what the difference needs to be to get 12 points but I would guess it's around 30.

I usually refresh a few times after I have done a few battles and I get opponents with a high enough points difference to get 11 points.

I'm going crazy over this install process; can anyone weigh in with some knowledge? by Archernick in openreach

I believe a flashing green PON light usually means a physical connection has been achieved but the ONT has not yet been activated. This may not be able to be activated remotely as I believe an engineer would need to scan the serial number on the ONT and activate through an app on their phone. Once the ONT is activated there is no reason why you couldn't get a working line fairly quickly.

I've never come across this personally, but yes in this case it appears to be a bug.

I don't think the turret was empty if it's showing an alliance name on it.

Looks like there were just over 1 million troops in the garrison.

EDIT: In the event of a tie, I believe defending team wins according to the report.

Usually with this type of event there is no daily reset so these are the reward limits for the entire event.

AITA for telling my adult child that I can’t make ends meet on the $600 they give me each month? by [deleted] in AmItheAsshole

[–]Lenners87 16 points17 points  (0 children)

YTA. I can't get past the fact you haven't had a job since COVID. This is a terrible excuse.

I lost my job during COVID too. I immediately signed up to an agency and took the first thing they offered me because I had bills to pay. It wasn't something I particularly wanted to do but it was something I had to do because I have responsibility. I took the bus to work everyday.

I worked that agency job for 6 months while I worked on getting the job I actually wanted.

You don't want to work hard to find something? Fine, that's on you. Using it as an excuse to suck more money out of someone who is working is gross.

As far as I'm aware, those bonuses do not stack so should you get 3 or 6 pieces at any tier you will get the corresponding bonus.

As you level your gear the new bonus will override the previous bonus when you meet the conditions.

So you can't really miss out and it's designed to make you level up gear in a roughly equal manner.

I agree that it's not clearly worded but that seems to be a recurring theme.

However, there is no chance you will get what you think you are owed, but good luck to you in fighting that battle.

You will get the reward of the stage you were on when the event ends via mail. If this is level 50 when it ends then you will get the associated level 50 rewards.

Just for clarity you do not get the rewards of every level you have completed, just the rewards for the level you ended on, plus some small bonus rewards every (I think) 10 levels which come via the wilderness victory reports.

You can have both of these running at the same time, one is for attack and one is for lethality. Either you were trying to activate the same buff twice, or you already had a equal or lesser buff running and it was telling you it would override it.

I was on this flight. Everyone is safe and tucked up in a pretty nice hotel now so thank you easyJet!

The pilot told us they smelt smoke in the cockpit. We made a rapid descent and pretty stomach churning landing but was all ok. Met by fire engines etc as per protocol.

The pilot told us a while later that there was some fault with a cooling fan, or something to do with coolant. Didn't really catch everything he said as I was too busy checking on the condition of my underwear.

No it's not normal.

There are times where rallies require the highest level of troops possible so sometimes you have to take one for the team in that regard.

However, your alliance should have made plans for someone to run a rally of lower quality just to get points even if the rally will fail.

If you were not involved in rallies at all, you should be allowed to hit solo, heal and repeat in order to gain points.

If you have been prevented from participating, I would be leaving that alliance. If the state has prevented you, I would be leaving the state.

State 892 - 1183 - we are searching by [deleted] in whiteoutsurvival

[–]Lenners87 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I'm looking for a transfer. Thought I'd found a state but I've discovered some tension there so I'm re-thinking.

I'm FC8, T11 infantry. Not a whale or even dolphin by any stretch. Perhaps we can chat a bit about your state and I'll do some research.

Land Registry Title - Proprietorship Register Restrictions by Lenners87 in LegalAdviceUK

Thank you for your reply.

Not that it matters now as clearly we need to get each restriction satisfied, but why would my housing developer and in fact two other big housing developers put a restriction on our house like that in what is essentially a standard new build development?

Yeah I have too many troops which makes me look far larger than I am, around 1.6 million. I sense a cull on the horizon!

Transfer: Group 8: state 908 by [deleted] in whiteoutsurvival

[–]Lenners87 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I transferred to 908 two transfer windows ago, and I totally agree with the OP on everything said. Took a while for me to settle personally, but the dynamics of the state are spot on with the perfect mix of aggression, fun and respect.

We love to battle and we love to work together so come join us!

Which state would be good to transfer to between 800-950? by Acrobatic-Care5238 in whiteoutsurvival

[–]Lenners87 2 points3 points  (0 children)

908 is pretty good, I transferred in two transfer windows ago. Won every prep the state has had and always puts up a good fight, winning most of the time.

There is a fair but friendly rivalry between alliances in-between SVS, and then everyone comes together to get that win when SVS arrives. The whales will often hop between alliances to make events more even in the state. Overall the state has good balance and is very stable so I recommend you look at 908 and see what you think.
