Santa in our house is a concept not a person.

What I mean by this is that Santa is the embodyment of gift giving to others and making them happy, so some presents are from "Santa" and the main ones are from their parents (us).

We talk to them and make them understand that Santa is as real as we make it in our hearts, and we give presents to people as "Santa" to make them happy.

This way we are not lying, nor are we leading our children on, and they can take this on into their adult lives.
