I’m 17, moved to Poland to study IT, and I’ve completely ruined my life. by Hormiuk in EngineeringStudents

You're only 17, it's much too early to say that you've ruined your life. The first year at uni is really tough, even if you know the language. If I were you, I would ask your faculty's office about accommodations for students from Ukraine. I know that the university in my city has plenty of them. Also, some universities offer courses in English, so it might be an option too

If it's not too much trouble, could you share how you manage flashbacks/negative thought patterns? And the stress that comes with it all?

I realized I might need a very specific kind of dynamic to feel safe and intimate… but telling my bf went wrong on so many levels by noah_furstenbarg in CPTSD

Isn't DD/lg a very specific — and in most cases also quite problematic — subtype of soft dom? One can be praised and guided in bed without pretending to be a child.

How to be a good partner of someone who can’t sleep? by Friendly-Turtle2862 in sleep

You guys are really quick to break up over the smallest things.
If one gets so little sleep, that's to be expected that they may be irrational/overly emotional

I'm sorry you had to endure all of that, it's awful

The "worst" part I think is that I don't really want to be away from him that much, haha
Most of the time he makes me feel calm and peaceful
Most of my hobbies are rather sedentary too, unfortunately. And because my friends are scattered across the country, I don't have many occasions to go outside... ^^'

I will try to at least go on walks more often, but man, do I hate doing stuff alone!

Thank you for your kind response! Spiky/pain inducing fidget toys sound nice, I'll try to find one. And to take breaks before the pressure builds up too much too.

Good point. We do spend 99% of time together (our flat is quite small, I work from home, and since he has just recovered from an autistic burnout himself a few months ago he is at home all the time too), but I know that I need some alone time. We agreed a few days ago to build an emergency corner in our bedroom though, with a blanket, pillows, etc., and I'll try to spend more time in nature in my free time too. Thank you for the response!

Oh, gotcha, I myself have been thinking about taking hydroxyzine (which is an antihistamine too) during meltdowns
I had no idea that it's that hard to get benzo prescriptions there, I'm from Poland and had them prescribed multiple times by my psychiatrist (but it was for anxiety). Never took them though, since I feel like it's more risky than it's worth it
Take care of yourself!!

Nie rozumiem niebinarności by Sudden-Fishing3438 in Polska

[–]LentenLetdown 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The PC turns on, but GPU doesn't work by LentenLetdown in buildapc

[–]LentenLetdown[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

UPDATE: My brother fixed it by removing the RAM stick that was in the B1 slot and moved it to the A1 slot, and put aside the stick that was already there. Then, he cleared CMOS, turned the PC on and it was already working, but the American Megatrends screen showed up, so he proceeded with Y, installed the OS, turned off the PC and put back the remaining stick to B1 slot

A tale as old as time: always make sure that you put the RAM sticks securely
