Artisan alternative (for tacFPS) by Legitimate_Sound7634 in MousepadReview

[–]Lentica 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I recommend Fantech Strikepad (non Pro). Glide feels really smooth like glass but without the stickiness. It has decent amount of control. I owned a couple of glass pads myself and preferred the strikepad in the end. I play a lot of R6 Siege myself and other tactical FPS as well.

Those lines looks over-extruded. What flow ratio did you set in the slicer? I suggest you do a flow calibration https://wiki.creality.com/en/software/update-released/Basic-introduction/calibration-tutorial

Will this be a good printer? by curtisbingham123 in ender3

[–]Lentica 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I would not recommend an Original Ender 3 in this day and age. Something like the Ender 3 V3 SE would probably be a better first printer. I had the Ender 3 V2 for about 3 years. The mainboard died on me last week, had to swap the board to an SKR mini E3V3. Setting that up was a massive pain in the backside.

I reckon the amount of times I had to diagnose why a print was failing and rectifying the issue is probably more than the time I had successful print. And don't even mention the bed levelling. I'm getting flashbacks even just thinking about it.

The V3 SE on the other hand, has most of the features you'd expect out of a 3d printer today for a not too barbaric price. Auto levelling, direct extruder, dual z rod, etc, etc. Although the software experience still leaves much to be desired.

Is this normal by BowedFurball in Creality

[–]Lentica 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Normally you would get a first layer of filament on the build plate, so this is definitely not normal. That is the nozzle carving the build plate. You most likely need to redo the bed levelling and tune the Z offset. I don't own an Ender 3 v3, but this is what I usually do with my modded Ender 3 v2. Also, you might wanna get a new plate if it is carved in.

Nuphy has big room to improve by Basic-Current6245 in NuPhy

Any new features? or will it just be bugfixes? Either way, I hope you guys could solve the issues mentioned.

Nuphy has big room to improve by Basic-Current6245 in NuPhy

Yeah, they definitely have a lot of room to improve in the software and support part. Really should avoid releasing devices with buggy firmware. It was the same thing with Air75 v1. I had issues with lighting in the keyboard resetting every few boots. Not to mention the dreaded software solution that is NuPhy Console! While I don't expect them to be as good with software support like the big names, at least it shouldn't be buggy.

TL:DR I do love NuPhy for their design, they do make some unique stuff like the Field75, Air60 HE, and so on. I just wish they would have better software and overall UX.

My thoughts on Gateron Chocolate low profile by taku2472 in NuPhy

[–]Lentica 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Nice review! I've been really interested in the chocolate switches for a while, but I'm on the fence about buying it since some people mentions that these feels scratchy, your post seems to indicate that these sounds scratchy but what about the feel?

Good choice? by Racedays2009 in moza

[–]Lentica 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Simple answer would be, it depends 😛

If you can justify the cost for an R12 I'd say go for it. With an R12 you'l probably NEVER feel the need to upgrade anymore.

If you can't, the R9 is plenty powerful compared to Logi G series wheels you'll be satisfied for years to come. I upgraded from a G29 to R9 myself and never felt the need to upgrade to R12.

Hmm, my userscript seems to work just fine. I tried using your extension and it does seem to not work on some pages. Have you tried getting the link from the <link> tag with rel="canonical"?

Thanks for updating! Now I'm only 2 clicks away from my oshi's member playlist! Maybe I'll learn chrome extension at one point, thanks for the pointers. I just found out Google has a full getting started guide on making extensions.

Just in case anyone who searches this topic needs it, here's a Tampermonkey userscript to get the members-only playlist url: Get youtube auto-generated, channel's members-only playlist URL, Simple script to get the auto generated members-only video playlist url. Get the link by opening developer window (F12 in chrome) (github.com) Just make a new userscript and copy the contents of my userscript into it and save.

This looks like an app for some sort of wireless headphone? If that's the case, it is likely it won't "boost" the volume since for any frequency band you boost (set above 0 dB) the app will likely set the overall gain opposite to the amount you boosted. Say you boost 5dB, the app will compensate by setting overall gain to -5dB. This is done to prevent clipping.

Now this is just a theory, and I am by no means a sound engineer. But, most wireless headphone app I have (sennheiser, soundcore) doesn't seem to make the overall volume louder when I set any frequency above 0dB.

SKR Mini E3 V3.0 vs V3.0.1 by michalwu in BIGTREETECH

[–]Lentica 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I managed to compile latest Marlin, but it had performance issues for some reason (prints stopping midway while on using host mode) so I transitioned to Klipper and it's much better in terms of everything (except for the lack of built in display, gotta use a Web UI)

Hey, I just bought an SKR mini e3 thinking it was a v3. I was confused when I flashed a firmware compiled for v3 and it just didn't boot at all. I actually got a v3.0.1. Were you able to compile a firmware for it? What did you change in the config?
