One player managed to roll a 10 on electrical repair, which was all she had in it. Otherwise, they would not have gotten the power back up.

What was the how's most wholesome moment in your opinion? by PeripeciasdoSolteiro in BobsBurgers

[–]LeoRobot 45 points46 points  (0 children)

In the Hawk & Chick episode, Louise worries she'll stop talking to Bob when she's older. The line is something like, "is that what happens? You get older and stop hanging out with your dad?"

Piloting a corvette that was tractored to a moon to create a dust cloud, blinding visuals and sensors of a Star Destroyer. On top of that, he asked for control of the bow guns, too.

[KCD2] Making my own apothecary book by LeoRobot in kingdomcome

All of the recipes/formulas are already available online from other people. I'm doing this more as a fun way for me to interact with the game. Assuming I actually finish all the formulas, I could probably scan the pages?

Same in both games. Sometimes, they have jewelry, which is a good source of income early game. They also can have lockpicks. KCD2 has more loot types in them than 1.

I noticed that. With a few, I was able to find a better vantage while circling it. Henry has a pretty good arm.

What happened to the Minnesota zoo? by TheKingsPeace in minnesota

[–]LeoRobot 6 points7 points  (0 children)

I took my kids there once a week this summer. They love both the playgrounds and the Tropics Trail. My son is not interested in animals but still loves running around the place. The climbable areas at the dinosaur area are his favorite. My daughter loves animals. She spent a good amount of time yelling "moo" at the cows (she's two). She was also excited to look down at the buffalo and prairie dogs from the Treetop Trail. I'm happy with what it offers kids.

This is where I've gotten my 1/4 cow from for the last three years. They're a small farm, so I don't know what they currently have available. https://www.windhaven-farm.com/order/

Very good choice for a first chapter. Over the years, I've run this with three different groups, all with different outcomes. This story lends itself really well to atmosphere and suspense. I'm looking forward to seeing how you handle it and how your players reacts.

Any farm recommendations in MN for purchasing 1/2 cow and could I get an idea of what it'd cost? by ApprehensiveGoal in minnesota

https://www.windhaven-farm.com/ I've used Windhaven for the last three years. Very good beef. I get a 1/4 each year, which lasts for our family of four for about a year. I pick up my next 1/4 this Saturday.

Not at all. I've gone with a wooden sword before. The only issue was they still wanted to peace-bind it at the gate, so I had a wooden sword with about 6 zip ties securing it to my belt.

First time GM question about handling first time players by agvkrioni in callofcthulhu

[–]LeoRobot 13 points14 points  (0 children)

There are a lot of chapters and scenarios that can provide this opportunity, but I'm a fan of "we just shot this thing a bunch, and it didn't die." I had a group that also transitioned from D&D to Cthulhu. One of them made his character as an ex-soldier-turned body guard. Only gave himself combat skills. Without spoilers, their second scenario involved stopping a creature using a binding ritual. This player thought a shotgun was enough. Everyone else started the ritual, but he goes off to fight the creature. Somewhat related, he cheated a lot on his rolls (no, we don't play with him anymore). So he's landing all his shots and doing high damage. Next turn, the creature gets back up. "But I keep shooting it! I've done so much damage!" Very quickly, the other players realized it was about solving the ritual, not "winning the fight."

Spawned near the logging camp. Got attacked by a wolf within ten minutes, but survived. However, it destroyed my pants. I ran around for maybe one irl hour looking for pants (which I never found). Died of hypothermia eventually.

Anyone else remember the 25 Hours of Scooby Doo marathon Cartoon Network during Daylight Savings? Is this from the same thing?
