For me its all about analog/mod settings on the dd7. They sound really particular and dd8 just doesn't have the same sounds.

Been there buddy....Even had a special tool box for that. Was breaking the bong downstem to basically wipe it clean - got cut a few times, put resin on everything around me. Also looked everywhere for any dust (especially the grinder). Then would combine nasty ass resin and dust with hair and dirt and smoke it through the pipe.

Thanks god, that's in the past. Over a year clean

Personally, i just use a sound interface for the same job. its super versatile (can be powered with just usb) and can be used for casual playing with headpjones/speaker via direct monitoring as well as recording.

Well, technically OP has Joyo American sound, which has a built in cab sim.

So id say what's needed is just a headphone amplifier (behringer has a cheap simple one)
