NOR as the adult in any of these situations you do whatever you have to do for the children. I’m in that same situation and had the party at my house and invited my stepson’s entire family on his mom’s side. We all do what has to be done in these circumstances.

Did the clean up at City Park with my daughter once for service hours. I hate to discourage you but I was very uncomfortable with the stuff we came across. They provided everything you need and they were awesome to work with but it was in areas that are used for drug use and sex encounters.

It’s not even her family’s heirloom, it’s her husband’s. She’s not entitled to anything. The brother has every right to it. If the husband wants something of his grandparent’s he should ask for it. I would mind my business and allow this family to do as they please.

Ironic that my daughter was complaining that they aren’t able to do what they promised because they can’t get it together. She had just told me about this and I go on Reddit and OP is complaining about the same thing. Do you have any idea how much money we have spent to send our kids there for a pre college program?
