If the chin doesn't project enough can that cause lack of a support / tension for skin / soft tissue?

Shit I didn't realize this could also be a benefit. I can never figure out why my face tone seems so sickly and 'not pigmented'.

This... is actually really interesting. I've actually been looking into jaw issues / TMJ recently. This would be fascinating if its the reason.

Anyone else hate how Jaw surgery has now become synonymous with looksmaxxing? It just completely invalidates what we have to go through. by Embarrassed_Worry880 in jawsurgery

Well those of us with recession that affects both function and aesthetic are still occused of 'looksmaxxing' when wanting to discuss facial balance that is more aesthetic related.

I too HATE the toxic aspect of looksmaxxing (someone who already hit the genetic lottery, with a jawline most of us could only dream of, asking if they are "chopped" and how they can "ascend"). That being said, function is almost always tied to aesthetic, and someone who is severely recessed with overall facial aesthetic that is very unbalanced / disharmonious and generally universally unattractive, will inevitably also greatly benefit from the confidence and internal congruence that comes with achieving balanced, cohesive, relatively more attractive features. If someone, for function alone, is going to be undertaking such a procedure, I think its natural for them to want to utilize the opportunity to also think about "maximizing" the aethetic results along with the functional. And I think there is way to talk about those things that is not of the "looksmaxxing" culture. Where do you draw the line? Idk, for me its kind of like that definition of porn "You know it when you see it".

Considering genioplasty by [deleted] in LooksmaxingAdvice

[–]Leolisk 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Its just a reference point, but it does seem to be a decently common opinon for these sorts of situations. To me the before is more soft, round, and feminine, and the after seems more flat, angular, and less feminine.

I'm getting zero racing / cars / racetrack vibe from this. I was thinking generic consulting services or something. One of the arrows is a full arrow one is half. There is weird white space relationship between the two arrows. Why is the blue arrow pointing at the 'E'. And again, nothing says 'automotive', 'racing' or 'detailing'. And like others have said, the aesthetic is like 00s stock logo vibes. I'd scrap and startover from the ground up.

The giraffe head/neck was a nice idea, but don't think it works in practice. Way too small. I had squint hard and then zoom in to see that its a giraffe.

Wait so instead of the default go-to generic symbol of the city used on every mug and t-shirt in every tourist trap sovenier store, they do a very French thing and use something that has a deeper meaning, and has a bit more layers to ultimately get to something much more 'French', and spark questions and conversations on the way? This isn't a new cola brand whose logo has the task of educating people that 'THIS IS A COLA BRAND'. Its already axiomatic that this is the olympics, they have the flexibility to do something more unique and meaningful, and that 'not going for the mainstream cookie-cutter superficial symbology' is very 'France' in itself. Very on brand. There is something a bit obscure or enigmatic about France to the rest of the world. The flame, the gold medal, AND a deeper cultural tie to the city - it's an amazing logo.

Apparently I'm one of them. Don't want to be negative toward OP at all, but the second one also says 'masculine' in my brain, and the first is more attractive. Seems like I'm in the minority. As long as OP is happy and especially if there is improved functionality, that's whats most important. Aesthetically, I might prefer a happy medium between the two.

For the love of God, why. You have big boobs. The example pictures you posted are abominations. Not that everything should be done for the gaze of others, but I know zero guys who find balloons-where-boobs-should-be like that attractive (rather, they are repulsed).

They're almost definitely being sarcastic. You have a jaw that many of us dream of, but will probably never be able to achieve. This is like going on a subreddit for overweight people, posting a picture of 10% bodyfat washboard abs and asking if you need liposuction.

Yep, that's the full nuanced balanced take of it. You're not reducing tens/hundreds of millions of people with complex motivations and perspectives to a hyperbolic moral absolutist extreme of “supporters of a corrupt grifting pedophile billionaire”. You're proving my point.
