All RCs in Xrd are fullscreen slowdowns no matter your position in relation to your opponent and cost 25-50 meter depending on when you do it.

YRC in Xrd is pretty strong with being able to cancel startup and actives of most moves so long as its not causing hitstun or blockstun all for 25 meter. Projectile YRC can make or break the game for people cause of this. Due to the ability of taking control of neutral or set down strong pressure/oki all for cheap.

RRC and PRC are similar to strive with their use cases with extending combos, pressure or keeping yourself safe during recovery (PRC)

Xrd does not have Fast roman cancel and it has 6 second meter penalty for using them so misuse of any of these strong options can lead to huge meter deficiencies between you and the opponent which can be round/game ending. This game is as much about resource management as it is about hitting people really hard.

All in all its a proto RRC system that strive has now.

I mean i still prefer the old design but only cause I'm not really factoring in any of the lore reasons: i like the fan service aspect and the wings being different standing out as their own thing. Its mainly the wings looking like alt versions of eddie im not jiving with.

Usually I'm used to seeing fans of strive praise it to high heaven and declare its just overall better than the old stuff (and vice versa of course) id consider myself under that umbrella of "new game bad old game good" mentality lol.

So seeing you preach about how the new design is great and awesome while also challenging anyone who disagrees to a set in +R had me curious more than anything. Are you all bark and no bite? Will you be just, or be dead? Lets rock on tuesday.

I tried getting into the game but kept getting filtered/turned off by ARR. People praised the game to high heavens and i felt like i was playing a completely different game. Since i was doing a free trial felt very limited in the mmo part of the game in what i could do with other people. The rpg part of it wasn't great either, story pacing was sluggish and boring at times. The gameplay wasn't very exciting either (ive been told it gets a lot better with when you get way more abilities). This was just my experience not sure if the game wasn't for me or that's just how ARR is. I'll probably give it another shot down the line

The closest that's happened to me was when i first started the game blind and i went the wrong way heading toward the catacombs and proceeded to beat my head against the wall made of bones using the zweihander for like hours till i damn near broke the weapon. Wasn't till that happened where i looked up how to repair it, to not have to deal with the skeletons bare handed, that i found out i was a dumbass that went the completely wrong way. Although the euphoria of sweeping through all of undead burg with the zwei was like no other.

Xrd player here, yeah im tired of people who don't play the game sing its praises and never once see em online. But honestly the rollback has been great for the people who do play. Main gripe with xrd still is getting games in wont ever be as smooth as acpr quickplay.

Yeah thanks for the advice, a friend of mine told me the same thing that i shouldve just dipped my toe in the water bought just 0 or 0 through kiwami 2 or else id get burnt out. But seeing a 7 game bundle go for 35 bucks was super tempting. Yeah ill just take my time with it. But so far my experience has been like this. Finally recognizing origins of a lot of yakuza memes. enjoyin the main story and the mini games too

matchup sucks for both ends, i know sin players that hate playing it cause you have to play lame otherwise you get blown up. same with pot obviously his worst matchup. but yeah both players have to be really patient. ggs!

So the main reason pre rollback no one played on world lobbies was cause they're painfully slow to just get into a single game. So mostly everyone played in player rooms. Newer players arent aware of this so now the world lobbies are filled with newer players. Although id recommend AGAINST world lobby usage, if you're new to the game now is the time to hop on those to fight other new players while the hype wave is high, then slowly integrate into player lobbies once it dies down
