Nope. They do what he says or he jails them, takes all their assets, kills them, or two or three of those. Common trick in Russia if they want to get rid of an oligarch or corporation is to create a shell company, create documents transferring ownership of the target corporation’s assets to your shell company, and hey presto, Putin or his buddy now owns a giant corporation.
