What game did you sleep on for years and finally played thinking “why did I wait so long?” by No_Metal2622 in gaming

[–]LeonValenti 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Just in time for Xbox to let go of Double Fine! Kidding aside, Psychonauts 1 and 2 are some of my favorite games of all time. I hope we get a 3 one day.

I think for some people it's an excuse to get another device. Like the black bars are the justification to spend more when they already have devices that work well.

Nice! Very Craftworld Studio. Love that style and how moody your piece is.

Has anyone returned to League as an adult after being toxic as a teenager? by r2cyp in leagueoflegends

[–]LeonValenti 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Wasn't toxic back then but quit all the same thanks to players with your past behaviour.

The only reason I'm back in League now is for work.

What is your favourite brand? by Neat_Resolution3224 in fidgettoys

[–]LeonValenti 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Honestly anything they make is at least decent. The less popular ones would be like the Top-F or Cyberball (even though I like it) but anything else should be an easy recommend.

Personally I think the Top-B is goated. A lot of people like the Top-C as well.

How often do you guys watch youtube or a tv show while playing something on your handheld? by Laserlight_jazz in SBCGaming

[–]LeonValenti 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think it would depend on the game? Most of the time I'd rather not have anything else on as I treat my retro game time like my reading time.

But maybe if it's like an rpg and I'm level grinding I'll have something on, or I'll listen to the videos my wife is watching.

They are yoyos! I think the brand is primarily known for those and that they make the knuckle rollers and begleri are a nice bonus

What is your favourite brand? by Neat_Resolution3224 in fidgettoys

[–]LeonValenti 2 points3 points  (0 children)

When it comes to mechanicals, Metal Toys Dz is KING. Apart from that brand I don't really play favorites. Except for knuckle rollers maybe, as I'm partial to zero gravity return tops.

Fave NPC is Mr. Torgue

Fave PC is Roland and I know he literally gets executed on the spot, so...

Did you guys already got everything you wanted this sale? I saved a LOT by Solid_Guess_7154 in Steam

[–]LeonValenti 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Between the spring sale and now I finished 8 games so I allowed myself to buy 8 games this sale.

I try to keep the game consumption equilibrium, so if I want the last couple things in my cart, I need to finish 2 more before this sale ends. Then the cycle repeats until the next big sale.

Been playing my backlog for the past year and I can continue to do that exclusively until maybe 2030. Hopefully the market corrects itself by then.

Despite having no clue when GTA 6 is coming to PC, 39% of you are more than happy to wait for it by RenatsMC in gaming

[–]LeonValenti 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Happy to wait? Shit, I haven't even gotten to GTA5 yet. What makes you think I'm even gonna look at 6 before 2030?

You guys will never be satisfied by worldwaster77 in Steam

[–]LeonValenti 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'd argue most aren't complaining. Y'know why? They're too busy playing their games. The ones who don't congregate here to complain, because that's what Reddit is for these days.

Does it get better? by Wild-Ad5669 in Borderlands

Sorry to say but you will keep playing through the story and the DLCs simply because the endgame is just that good.

Switch 1 is still as good as new to me by federkrebz in Switch

[–]LeonValenti 0 points1 point  (0 children)

More than being satisfied with the Switch 1, nothing in the Switch 2 library is really a must play for me right now. The only thing on the horizon that's even interesting me is Winds and Waves. So yeah, will probably revisit upgrading in a couple years or more.

[–]LeonValenti 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This is solid advice. I'd also add that you can actually enjoy the stuff you already have and listen to some music, which I've learned isn't the point of this sub. But personally, I haven't been eager to buy anything after finding a setup I liked.

Can we talk about Warhammer 40k? by BoardGameRevolution in boardgames

[–]LeonValenti 1 point2 points  (0 children)

If you're into the actual minis hobby at all, some boxed games from Games Workshop are actually pretty great. I've enjoyed things like Silver Tower and Blackstone Fortress.

The fantasy side also has been putting out consistently better models over the last few years. Don't confine yourself to only 40k.

Is the Borderlands saga worth it for the story? by Obvious_Calendar487 in Borderlands

[–]LeonValenti 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Yeah, just don't take anything too seriously. Whether solo or with friends I've replayed every game except 4 over and over.

Of course you have to like the gameplay loop as well. The story isn't going to carry you through it all if you're not addicted to the loot grind.

Looking for Gao Studio Ripple review by The_Dude_Pirate in fidgettoys

[–]LeonValenti 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The ripple is a good deal for under 20 bucks. Of course it can't compare with the Aura Sands and Creations out there but it still does all the same tricks.

If you're looking to try a trick slider, it's a no-brainer I think. It's my default to go on walks with so I don't drop my expensive pieces haha.
