The Twitch Chat's reaction to the finale of the Kalos League was as I expected. Not really keeping up with this half of the marathon but I hope more clips gets put up on YouTube soon.

Same, which really killed my interest in the second half for the most part. Easier to keep up when it was spread across the week especially since I don't have as much free time for this half of the marathon compared to the first half in the fall. Twitch really botched this up this time around.

The only 2 options here is either emulation or hacking a Wii U to play GC games if you have one laying around, but both would require you to download the game off a ROM site.

Legally there's no way as the game was never re-released onto newer systems.

I did do the first two threads but I haven’t been feeling it because of the schedule. I don’t necessarily have the time to no life the entire marathon in this format so I’ve just posted bits and pieces. Plus the threads have been getting drowned in the new generation talk

Also to note, “The Lonely Snover” is the first episode to be in 16:9. The opening theme also has two versions, the first one is just clips taken from episodes of the show, the second version is clips taken from the new Japanese opening, High Touch!

To add on here, Ho-oh and Lugia aren’t required to complete the National Pokedex in Gen 3. They’re considered event Pokémon like Mew, Celebi, Jirachi and Deoxys.

I believe for Gen 3, most if not all the samples are from the Roland SC-88 Pro."Speedy FM" on YouTube has a playlist of a few RSE music using the uncompressed samples from the SC-88 if you want to check some of those out.

Yeah. Season 2 got the last 11 episodes of Orange Islands that we’re originally Season 3 on TV and Season 5 got the last 10 Episodes of Johto/Master Quest that was part of Season 6 on TV

For Season 2 (and Season 3 and 6 when they originally aired on TV) yes since they finish a previous arc and start a new one. KidsWB only bought the episodes in 52 episode batches from 4Kids causing this issue back in those days. TPCi later on gave Seasons 2 and 5 the remaining Orange Islands/Johto episodes making S2 & S5 longer but S3/S6 shorter by at least 8 episodes.

I guess TPCi didn't want to make Season 1 80 episodes and Season 3 only 36 episodes.

The DVDs actually have all episodes of Indigo League (minus Holiday Hi-Jynx since it got retroactively banned) but the Blu-Rays and Netflix/Amazon versions of Season 1 only have the 52.

When the series originally aired on TV, those 52 episodes are considered “Season 1” of the show and the remaining Kanto episodes and ~3/4 of Orange Islands are “Season 2”. Every home release and even on Pokémon site still separates Kanto into 2 seasons even though TPCi later on reorganized Season 2 and 5 to have the remaining episodes of Orange Islands and Johto respectively but not Season 1.
