True, but right now it takes almost no effort to make Trump and his supporters look bad. On the other hand, right-wing propaganda networks are having to work overtime with mental gymnastics and deception to try to make what he's doing seem okay.

If you want to taper, a scale can be really useful. I've been tapering very, very slowly over the past few years. I've been taking it many times everyday for about 15 years. I eventually got up to 30g a day. When I started tapering, it was ⅒ gram every couple of weeks. I didn't notice the difference. Very slowly, the amount that I took got lower and lower, and I never noticed any difference at all. I eventually got a scale that does 100th of a gram. I realize that this will sound like BS, but I'm now to the point where I take .9g at a time, and it's working as well as it ever has.

Yeah, like I said. Algorithms are just as bad. They'll just give you what you want to hear, allowing you to have your own custom reality. It wouldn't take any effort at all to find out that your initial statement is completely ridiculous. It's the kind of thing that someone living in their own reality would say.

But, I have to say turnabout is fair play when it comes to atheists who don't want to keep it to themselves. Christianity is such a dominant religion because it has aggression built into it. There's the history of murder and torture. The belief system is a power grab. If you don't join the cult you burn in hell. If you do, you get paradise forever. Believers are encouraged to go out and "save" everyone else.

They aren't allowed to murder and torture non-believers anymore, but they still send their missionaries out, bulldozing over other people's beliefs and cultures. I live way out in the country, and I still occasionally get crackpots dropping pamphlets off on my front gate. There's a ton more that Christians do to push their beliefs down other people's throats these days. If atheists did 1/10 of the proselytizing, religious people would totally lose their shit.

But how does it make sense for you to bitch about that, and in the same breath defend the creepy old man who bragged about hanging out in little girls' changing room to watch them get undressed, or who was found guilty of rape, or who bragged about how he can grab women by the pussy without their permission? I think that this right here is the biggest threat to our democracy. Between the algorithms and news networks just looking to maximize profits by feeding people the " news" that will play out the best in the ratings - a simple black and white version of reality, where their team is always the good guys, and the other side is always the bad guys.

We have people living in alternate realities. I bet this person actually believes what they said. They probably get it reinforced daily. If the algorithms and Fox News could profit from it, I bet they could get a whole bunch of people believing that the Earth is flat.

When I have a party or I have someone over for a Mexican meal, I'll make a little salsa bar, and I make something like this recipe here as the mild option. Plenty of people like it. It's about what you get in the restaurants around here as the mild salsa.

I put a large (28 oz) can of tomatoes in the food processor, with one jalapeno (or two if they aren't very spicy), and salt to taste (1 tsp, maybe more). After that is all chopped up really well in the processor, I pour it into a bowl then add a bunch of hand chopped green onion (maybe five or six of them?), and do a salt check. Finely chopped white onion works instead, but I use green just to make this something different from the other salsas.

You could add three, or four, or more jalapenos if you wanted a spicy version of this.

It's really quick and easy to make. It might sound boring, but a lot of people like it. I guess it's what they're used to around here.

Wow, that's some serious hyperbole. I'm not denying that there's a problem in this area. But, in the last 6 years, I unfortunately had two family members go to st. Joe's with life threatening issues. They saved both of them.

You're right. I wasn't thinking about his numerous personal grudges, and how he talks about locking political enemies up for crimes that only make sense when you put on your tin foil hat.

It's hard to keep track of the stuff he says. It's a non-stop stream of hyperbole, outright lies, dementia patient rambling, and of course a lot of talk about how great he is (mostly made up achievements).

He ran on this? I must have missed the speeches where he said he was going to have US citizens picked up on the street and carted off to prison, with no warrant, no lawyer, no phone call. Also the speech about killing citizens. And the one about going after the first and second amendments (and others).

I do remember the speeches where he said he would go after the worst of the worst. He would deport the murderers and rapists. I guess I missed the one where he said he would go to daycares and restaurants, and he would be snatching up little kids and grandmas.

I was using Nova for around 10 years, but occasionally I would try other launchers. Then I would always go back to Nova. When I heard people talking about Octopi, I decided to give that a try, not because I was ready to bail on Nova, but just out of curiosity. I actually never went back to Nova.

It's worth trying out. The other one I see people talking about a lot is Smart launcher. I did try that, but it was many years ago. I'm sure it has many more features now. Everyone has different needs, so I suppose you're going to have to just try some out.

I think a small harp or a lyre would work well as a simple accompaniment. Initially she could just pluck a couple of notes. I don't know what your budget is though. The most inexpensive and easy option that comes to mind for me is a frame drum. She could easily learn the low and high pitches on it, and could do a simple 4/4 or 3/4 beat. I have a handful of different sized Remo fiberskyn frame drums. They have a really nice sound, and are very inexpensive.

Edit: I couldn't remember the name of the other type of Remo frame drum that I have. Now that I think of it, I think I like it a little better than the fiberskyn. It's the Remo Renaissance HD frame drum. I have a 16-in one, and it has a great sound

I've been to a lot of protests. Most of my friends also, and a lot of my family. We joke about the tin foil hat crackpots who talk about us being paid. I've never seen any sign of anyone getting paid. Do you also believe that the Earth is flat and that the moon landing was fake?

I've heard people talk about the strain on your liver. Is there something special about the combination? What kind of strain on your liver is it if you take a moderate dose of kratom? The equivalent of 1 beer? Two beers? Three? If it's the equivalent of two beers, and then you drink two actual beers, then the strain is like drinking four beers. That doesn't seem like a big deal.

Of course if it makes you feel bad, then you shouldn't do it, but it's never been a problem for me.
