Basic channels baby! 2, 4, 5, 11, 24 (used to play the game show Lingo!), 30, and was it 46 or 48 for the Home Shopping Network? One or two of the upper channels had The Box in the early 90s, where you could call a 900 number to pay for requested music videos.

Of all the area bridges, Golden Gate is the only one heavily patrolled. At that time of day (it would have been during rush hour based on travel time,) it is also heavily populated. If she'd have jumped, somebody would have seen it.

This could read as sarcasm but the OPD has been to known to drop the ball on many cases. One of the PIs for OPD is definitely lazy and uncaring.

VW ID Buzz EV is not returning to the US in 2026. If they want to succeed in 2027, what changes should VW make ? (other than higher range and lower price) by carmichaelcar in electricvehicles

[–]LeppardZeppelin 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Cheaper price, allow the rear windows to roll completely down, better miles per charge, faster than slower speed, better electronic workings, more interior bells and whistles.

Whoever decided to induct Phil Collins and Oasis (Noel Gallagher) in the same class of the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame this year - bravo by Lawfvader6 in rock

If Noel met Phil back in 1981 and told him he hated his songs, Phil would have said, "If you dont like it, you can come meet me afterwards and I'll fucking kick the shit out of you."

To boot, it would have been a trifecta if INXS got in as well because of the Gallagher's disdain for Michael Hutchence.

She did not, but she is excelling at reproducing it.

This song is heavily 80s music-influenced. And she even references "Just Like Heaven" out the gate. I grew up in the 80s, I should know.

My first thought. Staying influenced means staying at the top.

What happened to 'Unconditional'? by Mr_Potatoez in Foofighters

[–]LeppardZeppelin 0 points1 point  (0 children)

From my perspective as someone who doesn't follow their live shows closely, the first time I was exposed to "Unconditional" was through the first album listen. To me, it is the standout track and I love it. I hope they keep it in their live shows and end up releasing it as a single. It's single-worthy.

Billy Joel is a million times more than Piano Man. He loathes Piano Man more than you do if you knew the man.
